Pet pig adopted from BC SPCA killed and eaten by new owners Outrage is spreading across Vancouver Island and online after a pig that was adopted from the BC SPCA was killed and eaten by the people who adopted her. Molly, a three-year-old Vietnamese potbelly pig, came to the SPCA’s Cowichan & District branch as part of a cruelty investigation. She was taken care of and nursed back to health by the staff and was finally adopted by a couple in Duncan on Jan. 19. Then it was discovered that on Feb. 16, Molly had been killed and eaten. globalnews.ca/news/4042125/pig-adopted-bc-spca-killed-eaten-owners/

Not much more than the below can anyone do besides word of mouth. And I wonder if this was the new owner's plan all along:
"She confirms that the man who adopted Molly has been marked in the BC SPCA database as never being allowed to adopt any animal from them for the rest of his life."

A more than reasonable suspicion. There was less than a month between adoption and the killing and eating.

Things get goofy when we confuse animals that are normally eaten and pets.
Why is eating pork so sick? Oh, it isn't. Except in this case.
