Our Donald is big on mentioning how important it is for companies to expand jobs for American workers...deriding those companies who have moved their plants off shore and praises those who have come back and rehired Americans. The man himself is the principal owner of businesses that cater to the more affluent among us...and does hire many workers to cater to these folks...The problem is, according to the following article , very, very, very...again very , very few are Americans...[sigh...sad...so sad] ============================ "NEW YORK A study by Vox of three of President Donald Trump's properties has found a stunning lack of American labor, with foreign guest workers filling in every seasonal position with one exception.
According to recruiting files sent to the U.S. Department of Labor by Mar-a-Lago, Trump National Golf Club in Jupiter, Fla., and Trump National Golf Club in Briarcliff Manor, N.Y., 144 jobs were open from 2016 to 2017. Workers possessing H-2B visas would reportedly be given 143 of them, operating in such roles as servers, bartenders and housekeepers. The sole American worker was hired as a cook. I read awhile back that there are minimum requirements by law for job postings for local workers. Apparently they do the very minimum required by law and bury the job placement ads in such a way that, yes they are available by law, but practically invisible. Thus they can say that American workers don't want these jobs at Trump properties, therefore they have to hire foreign workers.
I have no link. I read this way back when he was campaigning, and no idea where I picked up the info.

My comments did not appear in the above post, and I could not figure out how to delete the post.
Anyways, the adcopy indicates employees don't receive tips. I am wondering if members are tipping on their dining room charges? is it automatically added to the bill?
Do the members know that servers don't receive tips?
The country clubs our executives belong to collect tips for dining room services. I do expect that the employees receive the $$ though, b/c I think they are locals.

The managers of these clubs are under the directions given by Trump or his direct appointed managers... As usual....he has no problem of fudging the truth, looking out for himself, his businesses and less the welfare of the American people...yet surprisingly it seems he still has the support of so many of his base which I am sure some of them might want to apply for these jobs at his resorts...even at the wages offered...possible if more American citizens were hired, wages would be higher, possible tipping might be allowed... Isn't this the idea of having less foreign workers and more American citizens being hired...offering work PLUS higher wages..? Just saying.
