You mean if they choose a different bandwagon next week to jump on after jumping off the one they are on today, you might call them on it? How rude! It apparently isn't rude when Tenn does it. He puts the whammy on Paul et al. with all the tenderness of a gorilla suplexing the Queen Mum, 'likes' and lulz showering down from the rafters, but since members' approval couldn't possibly reflect their delight in watching Paul flattened like a pancake, there must be some other factor I'm missing. I'm going to have to ask Tenn what the real secret is to confronting hypocrisy un-rude-ly. Six months from now Pres. Trump will say something like "Islam is BS." and I tell you now it will be the cohort who gave "Religion is BS." a big, fat thumbs up today screaming loudest and crying the biggest crocodile tears when Trump does the same thing tomorrow. If you dare not flush today down the memory hole and you confront them, you're in for some wailing and gashing of teeth, let me tell you. A. No worries. I can handle whatever heads my way. B. I wasn't speaking of anyone in particular and, honestly, I no longer read the back and forth in those threads. C. If the behavior of some posters seems over the top, you (you=administration) should put a stop to it. It's no secret that some posters here get away with whatever they want to say while others are stomped on quickly. Despite all the wordy and nonsensical attempts on the parts of some mods to pretend differently - everybody knows it. In fairness, tho, Tenn is probably one of the least of the offenders. He usually directs his posts to one or two posters. You have several here who go around the entire board spitting and hissing like rabid animals at everyone who gets in their poor, angry, misguided way. While I don't disagree with the gist of your post, I do disagree with your example.

I don't know what that means, but I think it basically says the survey is a pile of shit. It means the responses are going to be extremely polarized (as opposed to normally-distributed about a central value). Now I kind of want to just go vote 5 for everything without even reading the questions. I don't really feel I can fairly participate in this survey since you can view it and participate in conversation about it without actually having to submit results. Seems like whatever results you gather or going to be biased at this point.

Religion is bullshit. 100% of my posts today disparage religion. While I did like the post... I believe that that's an insult to bullshit. Lol.

I don't really feel I can fairly participate in this survey since you can view it and participate in conversation about it without actually having to submit results. Seems like whatever results you gather or going to be biased at this point. Potential respondents can view the first five (?) questions, I believe. I didn't bother to put in an introductory page. If you're referring to my ability to view it, I won't look at the data until I shut down the survey early next week. The only thing I've seen is the number of respondents as of yesterday. I filled out the survey myself immediately after publishing it. Both as a way of testing it, and because I'm a major P/CE contributor whose responses should reasonably be included in the data pool.

I seriously doubt I will be the loudest and crying the biggest crocodile tears when Trump says something stupid. I generally am not crying, nor being the loudest on this board.
Plus, my post had an element of jest that you seemed to have missed.

I don't disagree that there is a difference - the difference being the first just singles out some stupid, deluded people; while the second says pretty much that all of us are stupid, deluded people.
However, there is no difference in that either statement is rude and tells us a person wasn't raised well enough to know that if you don't want others "forcing" their beliefs on you, you might consider not trying to do the same thing. Honestly, I blame a lack of parenting for the way people act today.
That being said, I do think Thyme was kind of kidding around. At least that's how I took it.

There is a big difference... Not any that's relevant to the relative appropriateness of the comments.

Plus, my post had an element of jest that you seemed to have missed. I couldn't tell either way. The "crocodile tears" comment was meant for the cohort who cried crocodile tears in the Haiti thread. I don't hesitate to call various doctrines false, dangerous, insipid, etc., hence I can't complain when others do the same for doctrines I value. (At least, I can't complain about others' insensitivity. I have no qualms disputing their judgment.) But I also don't show up crying croc tears when a politician does something I do myself or something I demonstrably never cared about.

I have a cohort who cries crocodile tears? Cry croc tears. The Croc-Crying Cohort comprises countless culpable characters. 🐊

I've closed the survey. I'm going to put the data into a nice interactive plot generator for presentation, although I'm toying with the idea of posting the survey on two other, highly popular, political message boards to compare YMAM's results with others'. I suppose I can always do that later.
