The Australian stock market opened up 0.81% on Monday morning, Jan22. That is often a good indicator of global events - maybe a US Gov't shutdown counts as 'global'?

I think the markets already processed this possibility last week and the impact will be minimal. I expect the Dow, Nasdaq, etc. to be a little quirky, mostly stagnant. This is definitely not the first Shutdown Rodeo over the decades.
