I'm really skeptical since most of the money in Ca. is along the coast. Just MHO, but I think they would be depending on the feds to provide a lot of things for them since I don't see the tax base as being very large in the rural counties. If I'm wrong, tell me why!

The tax monies they will be collecting from recreational marijuana will provide them with a lot of money. Also those areas are where most of the grow operations are, so more taxes and fees. Unless they shoot themselves in the foot and not adopt all the same laws from Old California.

Yes, I guess Humboldt (sp?) county is included in their new state, but it would be easy to move their sales to the coast if they want. With grow operations, you have less population to collect taxes from. If they "up" fees, they are likely to see some kind of revolt from growers. And some in S.Ca. in the desert areas want to shut off any of their water being taken from underground reservoirs and stop the acres of solar panels being erected in desert areas that are making it impossible for wildlife to survive there....yes, there is wildlife there!
