having a ball with our Donalds doing his own thing.....hope he never changes...gives them such great material for their nightly shticks... ------------------------------------------------- "President Donald Trump found himself in the hot seat on Monday after he decided to go golfing on Martin Luther King Jr. Day, breaking with a years-long tradition set by previous presidents who commemorated the holiday by performing civic duties. The late-night shows found the topic rich for attack on Monday night. "In the past, Presidents Obama and Bush did volunteer work on this day to honor Dr. King. President Trump today played golf to honor him," Jimmy Kimmel said Monday on "Live." "He made his 95th visit since becoming president to one of the golf courses he owns: the Trump International Golf Club in Palm Beach. Just as Dr. King would have wanted, which is especially glaring considering the fact people have been calling Trump a racist all weekend." ----------------------------------------------- www.yahoo.com/gma/trump-mocked-golfing-lieu-volunteering-martian-luther-king-082205656--abc-news-topstories.html

And how many African Americans continue just doing everyday life things on this day rather than actually celebrating King's legacy? How many black or white democratic Senators and Congresspeople spent the day pontificating, especially the white ones? I will wait for an all inclusive tally from you. tyia

Hey, even I spent an entire day away from the board celebrating MLK Day! From yesterday's posting I see the usual liberals continued on here for the day in their usual style as if it was just another day.

I do not work for the Federal Government, so for me, it was just another regular day of work. I do not have a Federal Holiday.
I have no doubt President Trump was advised that it is customary for Presidents to do Community Service on MLK Day. If President Trump really wanted to demonstrate that he was not racist, he should have attended one of the MLK Day events like VP Mike Pence did.
Grateful VP Mike Pence did the right thing > But really not surprised (and I am not a Pence fan).

Your prejudice toward others and your unhappiness of the happenings of our country...u do know the nation is browning, as well as being a high % of being black plus latening too...can't be turned around...how someone with your thinking and prejudice will survive this inevitable change in our demographics I haven't any idea...probably just better to respond this way..............

Considering the chief speaker at the church Pence attended laid into His boss...Trump...on his choice of words...possible on hindsight...might have gone some where else...

Your personal descriptions of a few conservatives here are so sad, and I do feel bad for you. Did you mean Latinos rather than latening? I probably grew up in a larger melting pot than you did, and I do not worry about the browning of America. I worry about the economic degradation, as well as the education of America.
