I think Bannon is pissed that he got drummed out of the White House. They made a deal with the devil and I would not be surprised if it comes back to bite them royally in the ass.

I think Bannon is pissed that he got drummed out of the White House. They made a deal with the devil and I would not be surprised if it comes back to bite them royally in the ass. I haven't quite figured out their relationship. Sometimes they compliment each other and play nice, and sometimes Bannon comes out saying shit like this.
Given that Trump values loyalty above all else, I can't imagine what he'll do. Burn up his phone tweeting, probably.
I'm curious to know what the right leaning members of this board (especially the ones enamored of Brietbart) think about Bannon's comments.

Why Is Steve Bannon Torching the Trump Administration?Well, well, well. So Steve Bannon, a professional intellectual and political arsonist, is setting about torching the Trump administration. There is a long tradition of former aides accusing their old employers of failing to adhere to the true faith. And there is nothing that Washington enjoys more than this spectacle. A few years back I wrote a piece for the New York Times about the genre of the dyslogistic memoir. During the Bush administration, for example, Paul O’Neill, Richard Clarke and Scott McClellan each voiced disappointment with the actions and record of their boss. Earlier efforts included Raymond Moley’s After Seven Years, which denounced what it saw as Franklin Roosevelt’s leftward lurch. Emmet John Hughes, a presidential aide and speechwriter, portrayed Dwight Eisenhower as a weakling who ruined the GOP. John F. Kennedy even worried about whether he harbored a similar turncoat in his own administration. Now Trump knows who has the knife out for his top aides. It’s Bannon who is sometimes reputed to have his own presidential ambitions. According to a report in the Guardian, Michael Wolff, the author of a new book called Fire and Fury: Inside the White House, has Bannon on record as stating that the June 2016 Trump Tower meeting in New York between high-ranking campaign officials, including Paul Manafort and Jared Kushner, and Russian lawyer Natalia Veselnitskaya was “treasonous” and “unpatriotic.” Those are fightin’ words. I was a bit under the weather this AM so slept in..haven't even turned on the Telly yet...this is big, big news IMHO..Bannon turning on the Donald and friends...has he, our Donald, tweeted or remarked about it yet? What about comments from our Donalds supporters...anything? ok..telly goes on now.....
Aha..wide awake..yup telly is on...CNN though actually tuned in a bit of "Fox" too...
[had to hit remote a few times to get there but made it for about 4 minutes..]
So our Donald says Bannon has lost his mind...Don't think he was happy with Bannon attacking son in law...now Bannon goes under the bus...Would have loved to hear our Donalds screams when first informed about Bannons comments...
As just mentioned, believe congress would love to have him testify...also what about Mueller, and believe Bannon would love to testify under oath..Donald would go nuts..IMHO.

Well, well, well, so the chickens are finally coming home to roost. Interesting, because I wouldn't have imagine Bannon turning on his old boss. Time to get out the popcorn, as Christmas has arrived late.

it's so weird. a month ago, Bannon was down in AL pimping Roy Moore, and a 50-state pro-Trump project.
but he MUST have been working on THIS at the same time, right?

I am pretty sure trump and Sarah Huckabee Sanders are putting together a statement for the press and it will portray Bannon as a minor player in the administration and Sanders and trump's 'Coffee Boy'.

Bannon is a significant player in the Trump saga. to lose him is to lose an important ally. HOWEVER...... since the GOP always hated Bannon, Trump can now aim his rudder back toward the GOP. what he loses in Bannon he could REGAIN in the GOP. but his base would HATE that.....so....... this is playing out unexpectedly. i never expected Bannon to leave, let alone burn the bridge.

Responding to the story, the White House issued a statement from Trump stating, "Steve Bannon has nothing to do with me or my Presidency. When he was fired, he not only lost his job, he lost his mind."

I like it that so many now preach the wisdom of Steve Bannon now. I guess the arch conservatives were correct when they posted Bannon articles for the last few years after all when many here claimed he was a liar. I believe he is also writing a book so he needs the liberals in his pocket now so they will buy it. Bannon is not the first person ever fired who wrote a tell all book.

Highly doubt Bannon lost his mind. Course if I was Trump I would say the same thing and pray people believe me.
Don't get me wrong I think the guy is bat crap crazy I just don't think it has anything to do with him getting fired.

Your powers of imagination are failing. Bannon championed moore to spite trump. If he could play it up to also not lose trumps base....all the better. But another possibility....if trump thinks he may go down, would he be ok throwing jr under bus to save himself? Possibly join ploy he and trump? if bannon turned on trump, he'd have more than just dirt on jr and kushner.,.. But maybe the big kahuna in vol two? Maybe a trilogy?

[sheet what is going on here..bannon turning on the guy..get a hold of your self now..show a brave front value..u can do it..] and Bannon was never really a mover and shaker in this Administration and...[yadda, yadda, yadda]"

Yep.
This was supposed to be the greatest marketing ploy ever - one that would lead to the launch of Trump TV.

Complete article here: Why Is Steve Bannon Torching the Trump Administration? When I imagine President Bannon, I see him in his black Darth Vader outfit, stomping around the White House followed by his flock of Storm Troopers, only instead of being shiny looking and smelling like ozone (as I imagine Darth Vader would) he's all rumply, with saggy britches and smelling like beer and cheeto dust.
Let's hope we never actually experience that....

So if someone inside the white house was a source for the FISA Warrant or FBI who do you think it might have been?
Reince Preibus? Steve Bannon? or ?. I really don't think it was Bannon, but then again, who knows. Preibus always struck me as not one to look the other way on Treason. He is a party loyalist, but I would not have expected him to get in bed with the Russians.

so, do u find validity to his "treason" comment?
if u already thought (before this news broke) there was treason / collusion, do Bannon's comments make the treason case / thought process stronger, weaker, or the same?
