No. I don't know if I am too lazy or don't give a damn! I just have never been into snooping.

You guys are full of it. Everyone snoops. Going through my wife's diary I found out she records every time we have sex. Found that a little odd. I don't know if you'd call that snooping though as I told her I went through it. She got really mad.

When I lived in a a very tall highrise I bought a pair of binoculars and would look into other highrises...most had curtains. I didn't have a telescope like my neighbors.

I've also been snooped on....at a party this guy came up to me to and started talking to me about the number of shifts I work per month. Then there is always the neighbor who sits at their window all day watching everybody.

I consider myself more of a peeping Tom than a snooper.

I did. I needed proof as opposed to gossip and suspicion.

How Did You Do It? What Did You Find or See? Which time? Could you even narrow to a certain category? Family, friends or coworkers?

Have I ever snooped on purpose? No Have I accidentally found out information about people I know? Yes How? Getting something out of the medicine cabinet after asking. Bills etc left on table or counters. Emails sent in error.

Depends on what you mean by snooping. I have looked up people's criminal records, always look to see who got busted over the weekend (the county jail posts pics). etc.

Then there is always the neighbor who sits at their window all day watching everybody. That is my elderly mother. She thinks nobody in the neighborhood knows that is what she does all day. She did see a theft happening and called 911. The city gave her an award. She is so proud of that! Power was out due to an ice storm and neighbors across the street called her to ask her to call them when the power came back on as they knew they had left a light on. They had small children and had gone to a grandparent's home where there was heat. She still can't figure out why they asked her to do that.

I believe in what I call "counter snooping". By taking advantage of the psychological causes of snooping, ie paranoia / insecurity, one can shape the behavior of the snooper. Staging snoop opportunities with careful designs can lead the snooper to thoughts and acts that the intended snoopee has predicted. The snooper imagines that by spying they have secured greater control over their environment and the people in it. The intelligent calculating snoopee capitalizes on this illusion to accomplish control over the control freak. Talk about yer freakin karma. ;D

It's not called snooping when you're checking up on your kids. It's just called being a good parent! ;D By the way, I recommend looking at your kids facebook page. It not only lets you keep tabs on your own kid, but lets you know about the kids they hang around with.

A nosey neighbor can save your hindend. It's nice to know they care. Looking in your medicine cabinet is snooping. On the other hand, overly interested can be baaaad. Where is the line? There's a line between the lurker and cybers*lker. The friend and the frenemie. Friendly concern and gossip. Being followed like Jesus or being st*alked.
I'm afraid of the bear. He got me twice yesterday.

Yes, when daughter was a teen and I didn't care for some of her friends. She is almost 50 now and I don't think she has ever totally forgiven me for reading her diary.
If I have to choose between knowing what my daughter is doing and her not forgiving me, I'll take the knowing and keeping her safe.

And necessary! What? Do you think people are honest or something? So, what did you find out? Spill! I only snoop on the real estate in our area because it's public record and because I want to know if the people moving in are supposed to be there. One case - they weren't (2 houses down), but it was the ex-owner's son and his friends and the bank busted them and threw them out. I was just happy they were mowing the yard and not torching the place. Otherwise - I truly don't give a shit what anybody does as long as they keep me out of it. DH is too lazy and I handle the finances so no worries there. We are the perfect couple. Slackers in every way. Oh, Hurley - I just now got to your page. Sorry about that happening.

So, what did you find out? Spill!
That more people use Colgate than Crest, Scope than Listering and Secret than Soft and Dry. They also tend to pay more for their TV/Internet?phone service than I do. People that use multi nics tend to use a lot of them and come from Chicago. And that ongoing question. What do people that don't wear dentures do with denture adhesive?
