Yay! A new buzz word of the Left. Let's invent a problem, then attach some buzz word to it to try control people and companies. Uh huh.

If you can't be bothered to research an important topic, please don't bother to comment on it. If you have researched it and genuinely believe it is no big deal, please state your reasons. I'd be interested in hearing them.

Well in Shooby's defense Ted Cruz thinks the same and was comparing it to Obamacare. This is from The Oatmeal but the way they explained why they are for net neutrality (to Ted Cruz) is really easy to follow: theoatmeal.com/blog/net_neutrality

This is from The Oatmeal but the way they explained why they are for net neutrality (to Ted Cruz) is really easy to follow: theoatmeal.com/blog/net_neutralityLike many broad policies, it has its upsides and downsides, winners and losers. For downside issues, one of the more concise summaries: www.cato.org/blog/why-net-neutrality-problemNN also massively subsidizes content aggregators (Facebook, Netflix, Google) at the expense of content producers, sucking hundreds of billions of dollars away from the people who make content and giving it to the people who simply show it to you. It's fair to compare NN to Obamacare in the sense that, while it does fix some major problems, it's created more problems than it's fixed. Unlike Obamacare, however, it can be fixed without being completely re-engineered.

Washington just became the first state to pass a law protecting net neutrality. In a bipartisan effort, it passed the state House 93-5 and the state Senate 35-14. The governor signed the bill Monday, March 5th. While the federal protections are scheduled to end April 23, the new state protections take effect June 6.
