No. I actually didn’t realize they had tabs until a few years ago, and out of habit I still don’t do it. But I rarely use any of them anyways.

Well, since you posted that you rarely use them I decided to admit that I have never in my life used parchment paper. Use foil on occasion but mostly the "sheets" but haven't used plastic wrap in forever.

Yes. Saran wrap still hates me though. Agreed. I have suffered serious injury from the vessel the demon wrap resides in.

No. I like the challenge of knowing that if I tug too hard, the whole roll will come out and I will be caught in a tin foil tornado.

I use the Costco plastic wrap. It is the best. And it is the kind that sits on the counter and you pull it out at the top with two hands. It works much better than the one hand pull while the other holds the box.

I have a new thing of Saran wrap and there are no push tabs on the side? I usually push them in!

I thought the same thing. I guess that means I don't push them in.

When I got home last night my wife had the wax paper out so I looked at the box and started laughing. She asked what was going on and I pointed out the tabs weren’t punched in. She has no idea they were even there, so I got to sound smart for almost a whole minute.

Ok, I just had to check what the heck you guys were talking about. Needless to say, I never noticed that there were tabs.

Our learn something new today. Okay, so I finally went and looked at mine. I use Glad Press and Seal plastic wrap. No tabs. I was afraid I'd gone bonkers!

Tabs?....Tab? That was a coke product was it not? Early 1960's? Like maybe their first attempt at a zero calorie drink? But I don't remember any tabs....You had to use a bottle opener.....an the bottle was worth 2 cents when you took it back.....but, tab for baking? I don't remember ever putting one in an oven....seems like it tasted better when you just added ice....

What TABS? I have no clue what you are talking about, even after looking at the foil, etc.

What TABS? I have no clue what you are talking about, even after looking at the foil, etc. Those two little pieces of cardboard on each side of the box that the foil is in -they just stand straight out on my box so I guess some folks "mash" them down or up? They aren't in the way on the box I have but I rarely use it so maybe it is an issue
OMG, I just googled images and I am so wrong - I need to go look at my box - Had no idea there were tabs on end of boxes. Just checked and yep there they are - but mine is Target brand and I tried to punch one in and guess I will have to get a hammer and chisel since thumb does not do it. Learn something new every day!!

Thanks NNP. I had no clue they were there! Great idea. Huh. I guess the answer to the OP is no, but maybe I'll try it at least once in the future.

Yes, been pushing them in for years, probably since most started putting them on the box ends.
I also use Costco plastic wrap, love the little slide that cuts it so I don't get any cut fingers or frustrated when the sharp points don't cut it.

It took a message board for me to learn about this feature. And folks tell me surfing the web is a waste of time.

OK, I"ll get up and go look at the ends of my foil, plastic wrap and Press and Seal......nevermind, that sounds pointless. All I actually care about is that a box of what I want to use is in the drawer.

funny! I just found out that turning the top of your my medication cap still seals the container. but now it just snaps off. making it easier to open. for those without children in the home or live alone most of the time; or have difficulty taking off the cap in the first place.
