Behind my yard is a very nice wooded section. It is beautiful but there are downed limbs and it it is very , very rough. We could rake and clear some of that out but if we did, then we would have no where to put that debris, etc. And, there are some large logs that would need to be cut up and removed. So, who do you call to do something like that? If i could clear it out, then i could put a bench back there and it would be a very pretty area to enjoy. Do you call an excavator or what?

A landscaper or tree removal crew. Thye will come with a wood chipper and take care of all the leafs and limbs and clean/trim the trees as you need them. They would also cut the logs and leave them there for you if you want them or take them away if you don't.

Be sure you contact you local city, county, or state environmental agency first to determine if any "endangered" slugs, mice, birds etc aren't nesting there and you might destroy the native habitat area. Our govt at work. Here in the great NW, logging has diminished because of environmental wackos halting logging.

You could always rent a chainsaw and a wood chipper. Just be careful who what you process with them. (Seems like I've heard POM and NNP have big freezers, but you'd have to ask, to be sure.) Just trying to help! Peace Of Mind, NoNamePerson→Good luck with your project Shooby. It sounds wonderful!

We're the most important species! Everything else should be killed if it gets in our way!

Shooby, it sounds lovely especially if it’s cleaned up with a flower garden and sitting area. I would call around to some of “better “ companies. You don’t want to have someone come in and butcher it. You are correct in making sure that it is not an environmentally sensitive area.
