How I Became Fake News
I witnessed a terrorist attack in Charlottesville. Then the conspiracy theories began.

Last Sunday evening, I received a worried call from my sister asking if I had spoken with my mother and father. I had spent the day doing interviews about the vehicle attack I witnessed the day before while protesting the Unite the Right rally in Charlottesville and had not been in front of a computer all day. She told me that my parents’ home address had been posted on a neo-Nazi conspiracy theorist message board. 

“They are suggesting that you arranged the attack, Brennan,” she said. “There are death threats against you.”

this is fucking scary. I'd love to see anyone who agrees with the idea that Charlottesville was staged come up and defend any of what's in this link.

Wow that's awful. I wouldn't be surprised at all if Bannon or Trump is funding this shit. These people should be cracked down on, however, Trump took alt-right groups off some priority list early in his Presidency. If there is a conspiracy, its probably coming from those creating fake ones.

I don't know anyone who thinks it was staged. Where I see the difference of opinion is whether or not there was shared responsibility for violence that erupted

is it accepted liberal opinion that the death of that woman is on the alt-right or neo-nazis?
