I've asked about Myers Briggs personality types before here and the majority were INTJs. Just wondering if there's a common blood type with money savvy people as well. Rh factor is not needed

Somehow I doubt that there's any connection, but heck, I'll play along....A.

O The local blood bank has a sign up with the distribution of blood types. While I knew O was the most common, A is not far behind. It appears the unscientific poll here mirrors the data TD2k has posted. Just found out today that personalities are tied to blood types. It's very common in Japan to discuss your blood type, not so much here. BTW - Type O is considered the best type in Japan and one of the negatives traits of an O is that we can be vain.

I didn't know for sure till I got pregnant. I am too little to give blood and I've never needed a transfusion. Pregnancy was the only time when my type actually mattered because if I was negative I needed a shot.
I knew I am A because both my parents are Type A. The debate was whether I was negative or positive because my dad is negative and my mom is positive.
I am negative, which apparently is really rare. I "should" have been positive.

I think it's impossible to tell if money savvy-ness and blood type are related. Looking at the list here, you would think being O+ could be linked, but that linkage would be spurious. Because O+ is the most common, it would make sense that it would be the most common here. It would be hard to analyze--you would have to have control group of not money-savvy people to compare it to.

I have no idea what my blood type is. Is that unusual to not know? It means you've never donated blood. Naughty, naughty. That reminds me- gotta get myself over to the blood bank now that my one-year post-India travel "cooties" are no longer an issue. My type is A+.

Is there a Sex in the City fan forum that you can ask to establish a control group?

I am a B. Just found out today that personalities are tied to blood types. IRL, scientists have debunked this in controlled studies. Quick google search reveals this practice became popular as a form of racism against the Taiwanese in the early 1900's and faded by 1930 because it was debunked. It revived in the 1970s due to a book and the theory is that because the Japanese are a homogenous people (for the most part) it provides a way for people to sort the population into groups.

Just found out today that personalities are tied to blood types. No, scientifically there is no evidence that personality is tied to blood type. It's one of those pseudoscience things that is used to sell a lot of diet plans and a lot of other stuff. example: www.dadamo.com/Its popularity goes in cycles. About every 2 years we have a bunch of patients asking for their blood types for this diet plan.

ROFL Lynn - I scanned that link, and depending on which blood type you are, you should either eat vegetarian/soy proteins, fish, low fat diary, or lean meats and lots of vegetables. I bet I could follow the plan for any of the blood types and lose weight - even if I picked the wrong blood type. The only non-generic advice that was on there was for type B to give up chicken.
I love those type of things. I love reading anything that is specifically general and designed to dupe large groups of people - like the weird astrology descriptions. They seem specific, but they really aren't.
