I am sure they were there but not talked about by the staff or students. A sex scandal in a ritzy, New England boarding school came to light last year. 1970's incident: htmlhttp://www.cbsnews.com/news/sex-abuse-scandal-rocks-exclusive-new-england-prep-school/ Reporting the abuse has become more common because it is against the law to have knowledge about the abuse and not report it to the authorities. Ironic that teachers and administrators are mandatory reporters of sexual abuse. Review of sex scandals: www.thoughtco.com/prep-school-scandals-2774135
