Would you get a chip implant for your work place convenience?

There isn't anything at work I want or need that would make me willing to get something implanted so I don't have to take a milisecond to reach for my badge.

For non-work related or government usage, how about a chip which contained all your medical information, including currents medications, allergies, etc.?

I'm kinda "meh" about it... I have to go thru a lot of secured doors at the office... and it would be nice if I didn't have to put cash in the vending machine or use a credit card (or the iPhone I don't have) to get food at the company café. I'm not too worried about my employer 'tracking me' at the office (although that one time I caught my bracelet on the security door handle, nearly yanked my arm out of it's socket and then floundered around trying to get loose - probably entertained who ever watches the security tapes. )
Anyone with a cell phone or a newer car is already being tracked daily... not to mention all the security cameras on businesses, and streets...

I don't even take aspirin. No way would I let someone "inject me" with something like that.

the Netflix show Black Mirror touches on these types of concepts (a memory chip that records all moments of your life, each person has an "account" where they earn credits by doing different types of work and spend credits on food and entertainment). It's fascinating and also really REALLY effed up.

You dig it out with a straight razor. The company said the implant can be squeezed out like a sliver. I think weltschmerz is right or surgery by a spy thinking you have codes or something.

Gonna have a bunch of whimpy handshakes from employees for fear of it getting squeezed out. Oh, when was the last time a splinter/sliver came out easy?

I definitely wouldn't for what I make per hour now... but if the salary was high enough... I wouldn't care about being "chipped".

So glad I gave up work. Sooner or later, employers will require the chip. Of course congress will do nothing to protect the workers!

there are going to be a lot of fat employees! portion of their pay goes into their chip account so the employee can wave their hand at the vending machine. which I am pretty sure the vending machines are HIGH priced soda and chips snacks. also employees don't have to open doors. so after walking back to the desk with a hand full of junk food. they don't have to open the door to get back to their desk and sit down for hours.
