I don't see anything wrong with what he said. Basically it boils down to "DC gridlock hurts the economy." Which is true.

I don't see anything wrong with what he said. Basically it boils down to "DC gridlock hurts the economy." Which is true. It is only true when they aren't passing pro-business policies. There is plenty of criticism when they are passing things that make things a little harder on businesses. He said he wanted less regulation, tax cuts and infrastructure spend. I'm sure you can see how self-serving those items would be. He didn't say he wanted diplomatic missions in North Korea, reductions in military or increased compliance to the Paris according - all of which would be action in DC, none of which would help his business. Gridlock in DC is not 100%, univerally, always damaging to the economy. Sometimes them doing nothing would be helpful.
