I don't think a prescription qualifies as something you wasted money on. I hope it made you better, though. My medical provider seems unable to find a med that is covered by my insurance. I am new at scripts/insurance.

That reminds me to look in Home Goods for tea towels for the main Bathroom. Yours may be different but I didn't see very many at the two near me. They had a ton of fall and halloween stuff, just no regular ones. I admit that it is hit or miss at our store, but I refuse to pay $7-10 for tea towels.

Nothing! Instead I got some cool stuff for free! Check out this old library desk I got off of Facebook, they were asking $35, but weren't getting any calls and just needed it gone ASAP. I don't know if it's walnut or mahogany, but it's super heavy and solid. This picture with DS gives a better idea of how big the thing is. He just loves it. So much better than the little particle board POS he was using before. Then this evening I went to get Carrot fitted for dance shoes and the director there said she had ballet slippers and jazz shoes from her son that might fit him and if they did he could just have them. The jazz shoes were too big, but the slippers were perfect! So, no having to buy shoes for a class that he might not even end up liking. All in all a good day. Now if someone would just have a free JD garden tractor lying around....

Including the blue Christmas lights that are up year round because I'm too lazy to put them away?

Including the blue Christmas lights that are up year round because I'm too lazy to put them away? Even. But next time you shouldn't say they are Christmas lights. It's pretty common to see folks having lights up all year round.. The desk is really lovely, too. Right now, I'm wishing we had extra space for that sort of thing on our first floor.

Last night, shoes for DS off Zullily.com. 3 pairs of sneakers plus shipping for a little over $40. He needs them though, so not really a waste. They had some cute Rocket Dog sneakers, but since I nearly threw up after making my new budget, I refrained from buying them. $40 is a GREAT price for 3 pairs of sneakers. I'm a little nauseous because I have to buy DS new rain boots....he just outgrew the $30 ones I bought him in February

Send me the code so I can get a new pocketbook! There, you don't have to shop and you still got rid of it! Problem solved!

A carved glass elephant from Himalayan region, cost me $20. I had one that got busted 17 years ago, so I replaced it today.

I am a big fan of sloths. A friend pointed out the below today so I bought a new shower curtain for a spare bathroom.

Toyota replaced mine at 8 years and one month with 70,000 miles because I've bought their cars for the last 25 years. The 2014 is under warranty from whoever put it on.

I got excited for a minute and called the Honda service center, but they said they 12 months/12K miles on all parts. He double-checked with the parts center to make sure there wasn't an exception on the cat, but there wasn't. It's only been 3 years, but I've put 65K miles on in that time. Having said that, he did say it shouldn't already be bad and he questions that's what it really is. I'm just going to cross my fingers that the light doesn't come on again, maybe it was just a fluke.

minnesotapaintlady Sorry I didn't post the whole thing. It is a federal requirement. Call the Honda dealer and share this:

minnesotapaintlady Sorry I didn't post the whole thing. It is a federal requirement. Call the Honda dealer and share this: I did bring that up. He said it was only the first 8 years/80,000 miles and also only in effect if I was in an area that required emissions testing, and I'm not.

Ugh. I need to waste $14 soon on the biannual emissions check. At least it's cheaper and easier than the CA one was. I either wasted money or got screaming deals at the outlet mall today...a jar of the moisturizer I use for $35 including tax where it would normally be $55+; a pair of shoes I'd been eyeing online for DS at 40% off the zappos/amazon price. Also stocked up on the seasoning we like for chicken and found a perfect shirt for DS' halloween costume for $8 at the janie and jack outlet-which is either a great price for J&J or a total betrayal of all YM stands for by going into the store in the first place

A chocolate cream pie. I forgot DH doesn't eat it so I have to eat it ALL. BY. MY. SELF!! It will be such a hardship. I'll be using my stepper while stuffing my face. Calories will go off as soon as they get shoved in! WIN!!

Spent $1 yesterday at a yard sale on two pillow shams. They match a quilt I bought for my guest bedroom years ago but didn't have the extra money at the time for the shams. These match exactly! I'm going to wash them today and put them on the guest bedroom bed.

Me too! How can anyone NOT love sloths? Remember this little guy? Where was that? I need to send those pics to YDS. He LOVES sloths. He's majoring in wildlife ecology and decided over the summer to focus on mammals. I expect he'll soon narrow it down to sloths. π

Police work can be tough, but sometimes it can also lead to adorable situations. In 2016, transit police in Ecuador encountered the latter, when they were called to investigate a tiny sloth that found itself in a scary situation on the side of the highway. Unable to cross to safety, the petrified animal had resorted to clinging to a guard rail. mentalfloss.com/article/74276/ecuador-police-save-tiny-terrified-sloth-highway

I wonder if they are genuinely eternally happy or merely cursed with a mouth shaped like a smile.
