A letter. How special. I assume our new special prosecutor will look something like this:

Oh isn't that cute, Donald Trump got a note from Putin, oh no wait it's from one of the most prestigious law firms in the country. Well that's just so speshul!
And "most prestigious law firms in the country" would be a law firm where Trumps lawyers all come from, right.

Did this kind of crap work for him in business, or is he just trolling the voters? Or maybe I just need to wait and read Scott Adam's blog on how this is a brilliant move designed to defeat ISIS or something.
Does anyone else wonder why it appears Trump has done nothing with that defeat ISIS plan he got in February?

Nothing says "Truth" like a certified letter. It costs $6.46 to send one, so you don't waste that kind of money on lies.
Now, if the contents are all in caps, we know it must be true.

I read about Trump's vaunted "certified letter" yesterday. I'd suggest he frame that thing and hang it over his desk so all can see it (at least, all he allows in there - come to think of it, I hope the letter is written in Russian). I almost find myself feeling sorry for the man. He's so accustomed to just bellowing an order and having everyone jump to attention and race to fulfill his wishes. As he said, being president is a lot harder than he thought it was going to be!

Trump says something meaningful, but in a dumb way and surprise, surprise the left pounces. It's unfortunate Trump says so many dumb things, especially when the left sees him as nothing as a nail and Trump seems to give them a lot of hammers.
Anyway from what I read Trump has a letter from a law firm that did an analysis of his holdings and found he had no Russian holdings. And he sent it to senator investigating the Russia thing. And Trump is on record as saying he has no Russian holdings. Kind of borderline sworn statement.
Should make the witch hunt.....err I mean investigation into the Trump -Russian thing easier, just find one substantial holding he has.

... a letter from a law firm that did an analysis of his holdings ... I can't find anything that says a law firm did an analysis. Do you have a link?

Lol! Is this anything like the letter he got from his "doctor", who said he's got the best blood pressure, a tremendous blood pressure, and said he's the healthiest person who ever ran for office?

They looked through 10 years of his personal tax returns to create the letter. Its something, but not a slam dunk.

Thus confirming that Trump does, indeed, have financial ties to Russia. This letter is going to raise more questions and more calls for DT to release his tax returns.

The petulant one is at it again. Trump now says he'll release his taxes — maybe — after he leaves office

Personally, I'm not particularly interested in an analysis performed by the "Russia Law Firm of the Year". Had it been done by the US Law Firm of the Year, I might have been able to generate a bit more interest.

Trump's reason for getting the letter actually makes some sense. Sen. Graham had asked for information related to ties that Trump may have to Russia. As a response to that request, the letter makes some sense to me, although that may not be the end of it with Graham, who could certainly push back for more if he wished. Trump's public braggadocio about the letter on national TV was ridiculous, and deserves all of the ridicule that it is getting, imo. I think a good deal of the ridicule comes from Trump having bragged about the letter being certified. I doubt the man has ever mailed anything on his own so he doesn't really know how certified/registered mail works. The way he worded his comment on TV sounded as though he believed the "certified" on the letter meant the contents were certified and that's how many saw it.

And did you do ANY other research into the article other than simply agree with the parts that fit ur preferred narrative? Worst case if you even put some thought into it, they been doing his taxes since 2005. Don't u think Trump has been audited a few times between now and then? If he got in trouble during the audits, wouldn't we have heard about it? If they were good enough to survive US audits, who cares what awards they won? Did you look at any other awards they won? Do you really think vox did? Or did they just list what fits your narrative so you were happy and stopped? Did you do any other INDEPENDENT research other than accept the info that agrees with what the hive mind sends u? Spending 5 mins I found the below. Not saying it makes the law firm totally awesome, but to write them off as "tools" of Russia without doing any research is certainly fair minded of you. en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Morgan,_Lewis_%26_Bockius www.morganlewis.com/our-firmbestlawfirms.usnews.com/profile/morgan-lewis-bockius-llp/overview/28390www.morganlewis.com/our-firm/awards-of-excellencebestlawfirms.usnews.com/lfoty.aspx

Thing is, I don't give a flip what the law firm Trump chose (Russian Law Firm of the Year) has to say about Trump's tax returns. I can see no reason on earth why he can't make those returns public, just as others before him (since Nixon) have done. On top of that, I'm not impressed by what others may find to be the "best" law firm(s). YMMV

The exceptions may not be notable. The letter basically says it did not track down or analyze sales done by the various Trump businesses to see if any Russians were served or not. Russians buy a couple Trump steaks. Not notable. Trump comps an entire weekend at a casino to some Russians for future business deals, notable.
Neither of these would be spelled out on any tax return, let alone Trumps.

The line is: "With a few exceptions - as detailed below - ...". Judge:"How do you plead?" Attorney: "With a few exceptions, my client pleads not guilty" Rofl I find shortening the quote down to only include the first four words without indicating that they specifically list the exceptions materially changes the meaning.

If he has nothing to hide, why bother with a private law firm? Why not just give Congress permission to examine his tax returns and other financials directly?
I always prefer the actual source material to someone's interpretation of the source material... and literally every time I have asked a party for non-privileged material and get a summary instead of the actual requested documents, it's because they contain something at least mildly damning.
Not saying Trump's tax returns are necessarily a smoking gun, but this move certainly makes it look like he's trying to hide something.

The things he does and says on a daily basis demand ridicule! And there are plenty of people out there willing to accommodate him. Comedians already have years worth of material from just 3 months.
"I didn't realize being president was going to be so hard. I miss my old life."
Well asswipe most of America misses your old life too so PLEASE go back to it! And those that don't will just continue to eat the Shit Sandwiches you keep feeding them.
