Well they got me for $132.00 a month for 2 years (all fees and everything....of course the "fees" can increase)
"Free" HBO for 2 years
"Free" Quantum DVR (sounds impressive but we'll see)
150 Meg internet
"Premium" TV channels (to me that means all the "Basic" channels I am used to)
And telephone (even though I don't need it. it was axially cheaper to include it) See, this is what drives me crazy. It's cheaper WITH phone than without. One offer Comcast made when I wanted to downgrade was Internet only, same speed I had, for $10 MORE per month than my current Internet + TV + Phone. I am also seeing, from the rates posted here and on a similar discussion on the Early Retirement Board, that DH and I did not get any sort of special snowflake deal when we signed up in June, 2015, either. The guy who sold us the house said that if we went with Comcast, just for us, they'd lock us in at the rates he'd been paying for the next two years. I didn't ask him what deal he had; I should have since Comcast wouldn't tell me, citing "confidentiality". Instead they started with what we had had in ur old house with Time Warner and I got something similar. Our monthly bill in the old place was $173 (yeah, I cringed, too when I looked it up) so $130 with all fees included looked good. We did go from two landlines to one. The seller of the house seemed very interested in whether we'd signed up- he asked our realtor a couple of times. My guess is that he got a referral incentive.

I suspect they add the phone as a loss leader hoping you get hooked on it and when u renew in 2 years u really need it (or kinda forget about it) and they jack up price on it in 2 years.
Also I suspect there will be some sneaky fees or taxes with it (but I plan to disconnect it right away not that this will change anything )
