I'll say it again: The Democratic Party is a fringe regional party in real danger of completely collapsing. The real threat to the Democratic Party isn't the GOP, it's one of the other parties seizing the opportunity and filling the vacuum. I've long held that we need to get the Democrats out of the way- they're a non-serious party and have been since Carter- so we can have the real debate: the "conservatives" vs the libertarians. www.politico.com/magazine/story/2017/01/democrats-trump-administration-wilderness-comeback-revival-214650

Bovine excrement, when properly composted, makes an excellent garden additive for the gardener. Make sure your pile heats up to sterilize any weed seeds that passed through the ruminate. You can then mix this crap in with your existing soil or spread as a top dressing that will slowly leach into your growing medium.

I believe that this election might cripple both parties in the coming elections, and I am not sure the two party system survives. The rise of Trump on the right and Bernie on the left represents a sea change in party loyalty of the party faithful. Neither are members of their respective party.
Of course pundits claimed the Republican party was dead before November 8th because Trump would destroy them with a historic loss, so what do I know?
If this administration fails in the next two years, then the Democrats will be reborn and saved.....

They will just keep pitching tantrums trying to intimidate people until they get their way. It's going to be the Era of Tantrums. Brace yourself.

It heats up real well. But if you are having a hard time getting your piles to heat, add some alfalfa pellets to the mix. I buy my alfalfa pellets in 40# bags at TSC (Tractor Supply Co.) and I use them as a time release natural fertilizer in my flower beds too. You can also make a liquid fertilizer of them...1 cup pellets to a 5 gallon bucket of water and let it set for a few days COVERED....then hold your nose when you take the lid off, it STINKS! But it works really well!

The local democratic party had a presence when I first moved here 17 years ago. Now it has been reduced to a phone number. I don't think they hold even 1 office in local government. I also no longer hear any complaints either.

If you look at the numbers, Paul's got a point. Republicans hold a lot more governorships and state legislatures than Democrats, even in areas that you would expect to be dyed in the wool Democrat.

My Republican controlled area is doing much better than the Democrat controlled area I left. Low taxes, great roads, great schools, low crime. And the job market is booming. Though I tend to think that it has more to do with the large number of people coming from 2 parent households than anything else. It's easy to run great schools on a shoestring budget when the vast majority of your students come from stable homes. The Catholic schools have been doing this for over a century. And if you're not throwing away piles of money supporting other people's bad lifestyle choices, there's plenty of money for roads and parks without taxing everyone to death.

Exactly. That's just the way it is over here. The Democratic Party has evaporated in this area/state over the last decade. You don't here any body complaining about where the money goes any more.

But as value buy said, I don't know if the republican and democrat parties will survive as they are now. Both parties have been moving away from the cener, and more and more are hungering for change.

I don't think the Trump administration will implode in 2 years. These are the same people who said Trump would implode during the primary, then he'd implode on the campaign. It's obvious many have underestimated Trump, so why assume hell implode as President.

Yes, all the women in the extended family here in Seattle, plus a nephew's GF, were all marching today. My wife knitted 8 pink p.u.s.s.y. hats for the occasion.
None of them voted for Trump. These are smart, educated women.

I can see them impeaching him. His own side that is. It wouldn't be hard, he was in ethics violation as soon as he took office.

The Obama administration never really recovered from the 2011 shellacking the democrats received. The reverse could prove true.

The President, Vice President and all civil officers of the United States, shall be removed from office on impeachment for, and conviction of, treason, bribery, or other high crimes and misdemeanors. Good discussion here: High Crimes and MisdemeanorsWhile I don't see the House impeaching him simply on an ethics violation, I don't see the Supreme Court stepping in to save him if they did.
