Burr: Senate Panel Won’t Investigate Possible Contacts Between Russia, Trump Campaign
I'm not very good at copying things on my iPad, but the above statement is from that "liberal rag" the WSJ. Woohoo got it to work. So here are some paragraphs from the article:
Senate Intelligence Committee Chairman Richard Burr said on Thursday that his committee's probe into Russian hacking during the elections wouldn't look into possible contacts between Russians and Donald Trump's presidential campaign, saying that such questions weren't appropriate for his panel. "That's not our role," the North Carolina Republican told reporters. "We don't have any authority to go to any campaign and request information that one would need to do an investigation." Democrats have called for establishing a new, bipartisan commission to look into Russian hacking, saying that would take the probe out of the political arena, and their calls could grow louder after Mr. Burr said he would limit the scope of his investigation. Mr. Burr became the point person for the congressional investigation last month when Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R., Ky.) said that the Senate Intelligence Committee should handle a Russia hacking investigation and not a newly-created commission"
Are we seeing the start of selective blindness from the Senate Intelligegence committee here or something close to deriliction of duty? If not outright so. Discuss

LOL. You are want to try to destroy Trump before he even sets foot in office. Oh yeah, but you believe in Unity and working together, blah, blah. Trump has exposed the corrupt liberal left for what it is. So, take you best shots. Oh, and just remember, we are all taking notes to use the very same tactics against your party if and when you take power again. K?

While they're at it, they're also not investigating the Kool-Aid man for school vandalism, the faking of the moon landing, or the second shooter on the grassy knoll.

I see a senator who doesn't want his committee sucked into a wide ranging investigation. I think he is correct to not doing it. I support an FBI investigation at this point.

this is an interesting way of phrasing it. Wikileaks has far less than 100% accuracy in terms of content. but that is not the claim that is being made here, which is far safer. NOTE: i like Wikileaks, so this is only a criticism of this defensive statement, not Wikileaks itself.

K? by all means, do so. but keep in mind that we will be viewing it not as you just did, but as "saving the country". sound familiar?

NOTE: i like Wikileaks, so this is only a criticism of this defensive statement, not Wikileaks itself. WikiLeaks is very accessible, far ranging, and generally pretty good. I use it a lot myself when the subject matter is simple and clear. For anything with any depth, controversy or ambiguity I always try to check another resource if I use them, but they are a nice recourse. They are, as you note, NOT 100%. On the other hand, almost no source is. It is best to always use multiple sources when researching anything of any depth in a serious manner. what i mean is that Wikileaks is a shotgun. whatever is in the shell is what they post. they make NO claims for the contents of the shells, which are NEVER authenticated. it is difficult for me to phrase exactly what i am trying to say, but hopefully you get it.

Of Course Trump's campaign will deny coordinating with Russia. I am pretty sure anyone caught doing so would be accused of Treason. Whether or not American's believe them, I guess has a lot to do with which party you belong to.

K? ahh Shooby were have u been for the past eight years....Pluto?....the GOP has been the party of NO for as long as they have had control of Congress...six years I believe..and the mantra of both the leaders of the House and Senate..publicly, loudly and proudly was the prime objective of the GOP was to see that the sitting POTUS be defeated in the next election..not cooperation or even loyal opposition, just to defeat Obamas reelection..[they failed Shooby on that one in case u missed it] As far as Unity..the Donald calls/called for it in one breath but in the next he disses any and all who did not vote for him..disses the sitting President and family..disses his defeated opponent..he has won the damn election, but still going after her..just the other day, first said no, no when his mob chanted "lock her up, lock her up " but then a few days later the egging on of the mob.....supposed to try and bring country together and does everything one can do to push it farther apart and rub it in to those who did not support him. Possible it's the Donalds way of making friends and influencing people..so keep taking notes..[ one if the most xxxxx remarks seen here in a while and have seen a few doozies] .........

Trump needs to start a Foundation. He needs to get infused with cash. Why not? Pay to play.

I'm sure Paul Manafort's trips to Russia were nothing more than sightseeing vacation, right?

Correct. Its ironic or false chest thumping to post about a document they consider fake that they didn't vet and probably didn't receive. We are told they vet the source of the material they post, but they really do not have a procedure to vet content. And they are complaining about content.
