Hannity Interview with Julian Assange: STRONGLY RECOMMENDED

The Democratic Party's base is shrinking down to frightened government dependents and hard left ideologues. They shed the independent voters in 2004 and have been losing them by double digits ever since. They shed the white working class / middle class-- basically the beating heart of the country. So, I get that there's not much left to work with- but I post this in the hopes that there are some one the left and within the Democratic Party who are at least curious about the truth-- and perhaps even those looking inward and asking themselves if the Democratic Party of today is truly who they are? 

Because the bottom line is that the "Russians hacked the election" bit is a pure and simple, cynical and irresponsible lie. I guess I am an optimist- I simply cannot allow myself to believe this bullshit works on people. But then, I always did have more respect for people than either party's politicians.

Again and again...because the Paul posts a link and suggests what it contains is the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth does not really make it the truth...

Possible and possible not...To trust Mr. Assange to speak the truth, I suggest he has / may have  his own agenda, and the man is a criminal..so possible his word is suspect.


Supposedly our President elect is meeting with the  representatives of  our countrys intelligence gathering folks on Friday..there they are suppose to lay out their findings that supposedly show a Russian connection,

and if so. and little goes on in Russian government circles on such topics, spting, interfaring with foreign countrys what ever, that the PM, Mr. Putin , does not know about and would have given his ok on, 

so I would wait to see what conclusions on this matter might be released...then possible a judgement on the topic might better be made.

There is evidence that Russians hacked the DNC and others. Our government has chosen not to release it based on national security. I wouldn't trust Assange even as far as I could throw him. He has a vendetta against Hillary Clinton so on anything related to her, his word is suspect.

Some of his closest colleagues bailed on him and Wikileaks because of his known lies and manipulations. Trust him if you want. There are many reasons to doubt him, but you can research it if you want to.

alone and not the Swedish allegations which I believe are phony. For dissident type Americans Assange could be considered a hero for the info he has released.

We need more transparency from our govt. We'll see if Trump can deliver that but I doubt it. In the meantime, I am a huge supporter of wikileaks and Assange's mission.

Interesting happening...Paul Ryan who was just recently. yesterday...also commented on his feelings of Mr. Assange..who supposedly is holed up in a foreign embassy..seems he's wanted for sexual misconduct in Sweden..with minor children , and also for stealing data..criminal act ..also releasing it publickly, not sure if thats a criminal act...but it seems speaker Ryan and the Donald are not yet onm thev same page regarding Mr. Assange..

He doesn't want to go to Sweden because he will be extradicted to the US ...(Even though Sweden says they won't do that, they cannot be trusted)
Seems very odd that they would pursue him to the 9nth degree over charges that are dubious at best.

He is wanted alright...and they'll get to him any way they can.

  Assange indicated in the interview that no charges are pending in Sweden. What he fears is Swedish extradition cooperation with the US DOJ regarding leaked classified documents. The DOJ

has basically imprisoned him without due process over the fear that might happen and that he would be in prison the rest of his life.

I am not trying to make a judgement on the guy but it seems he was charged with many crimes...most dropped because of time limitations...still a rape charge is in force..man has holed up in a embassy for four years rather then go back to Sweden to face charges..
I can post numerouse threads on charges..what he was accused of and because a charge has been dropped because statutes of limitations has run out does not mean man is as white as the driven snow.

Problem is who decides what should be public information and what is not...I personally don't feel Mr. Assange has the right to be that person who makes such decisions. Who does?  No clue but definitly not Mr. Assange...

The regrettable fact is they needed to pull a huge boogeyman out of a hat to sell America on their censorship initiatives (short term goal) and a new and much-needed Cold War with Russia (long term goal), and "Vladimir Putin personally hacked the DNC" was the only evil great enough to qualify. Hence that's the narrative.

A bit of deception for a "good purpose". It's what the CIA does.

That was indeed interesting. I've come around on the whole military industrial complex thing- one reason I ended up supporting Trump even though I didn't like him to start with. For me it doesn't boil down to that at all. Wikileaks allegedly only has stuff that is submitted to it. Therefore they are not going to be investigating all possible breaches done by Russia or any other country. All Wikileaks is going to do is possibly vet the information they receive. There is no guarantee that they get from the person or group that obtained it. If it goes through a middleman or two, how would Assange know? If I cut and paste an email into the body of an email and send it to you, how do you know where it came from? I would have included no email headers. Would you hack my system hoping to find the original source material to prove how it was obtained? And if no evidence was there except that it was sent from my system, what would you really know?

We don't need a Cold War with Russia nor is anyone I know of suggesting such. I don't think I've even read anything that definitely links the hack back to Putin only that they believe it was authorized, Ok'd by the Kremlin. Apparently Russia has a deep fear of what the election of Hillary Clinton could have meant to the sovernity of Russia so they do have a real motive for smearing Hillary.

'Beware they are not our friends' IMO is a much better narrative than Trump's 'Putin could be one of the best things for the US' narrative.

Make no mistake about it, the establishment in both parties has been angling for war with Russia, and Obama is desperately trying to bait Putin into doing something- ANYTHING- that can be used as a pretext for war. Why do you think the Russian ambassador was assassinated in Turkey- a US / NATO ally? They expected Russia to retaliate. Franz Ferdinand, anyone?

You do know what Einstein said the definition of insanity is, right? So let them keep doing what they been doing, it's worked so well for them so far.

It is unfortunate, because we do need some democratic ideas / dissenting opinions taken into consideration on political decisions. It always leads to an overall better product in anything (even work projects) if you have a different point of view involved.

I mean just look at Obama Care. Not a single republican on board. And look how well that worked out.

it's funny how two people can look at the same thing and come up with entirely different interpetations of the event.

I am assuming that u think it's a positive that no member of the GOP crossed the aisle and voted for the care act..such a important , good or bad, piece of legislation.

All GOP POTUS were in favor of such legislation..there were congressional  GOP folks representing constituents who so badly needed such health care..thinking those in the Appalachia regions..coal mining areas..other such depressed areas of the country yet not ONE crossed the aisle..I am not sure but didn't a few Dems vote against it?[not sure on that]

What it tells me is, and this was the beginning of Obamas first term..that what GOP  leadership had said..absolutly no cooperation with OBAMA  on ANYTHING..all efforts are to make him a one term POTUS was in full operation...Our democracy was broken.

Now GOP holds all three branches of the government...u would think turn about would be fair play right..I predict here will be some of that but if presented properly by the Donald..there will be cooperation with him too.
