did 26 mins of yoga today and wrist-less yoga yesterday. I was able to do 10 mins of regular yoga today before I had to modify all planks to forearm planks and all downward dogs to dolphins. I now have a small lump on my left wrist (the problematic one) that feels kind of solid. When I squeeze it, it's somewhat painful. Might need to see a doctor soon....

Really struggling, but here. Just trying not to gain as I wait for steroid shots in my back in a couple of weeks. Obviously need to control food as exercise is currently off the table approximately 98% of the time. finnime talk to me about intermittent fasting.

Pants, the method I used for intermittent fasting was not strictly speaking fasting. Two or three non-contiguous days a week I'd eat a maximum of 550 calories. The other days, pretty much anything I would have eaten if I weren't paying attention. . So fasting days I always had coffee, plus often an egg or two or some yogurt, and soup or salad or just vegetables and/or fruit. Sometimes turkey or ham. No-calorie beverages. For me it worked best to eat twice a day. You do have to pee a lot on these days. I did not find my energy flagging or feel irresistible hunger pains. The day after fasting you tend to be satisfied on less food than before. But you don't have to be concerned about what you're eating, how much, how many calories or carbs or whatever. Just resume your normal habits. Eat ice cream if you like. Or have a drink. I found my tastes changed pretty quickly with this method. I developed an active distaste for packaged sweets and a real craving for things like oranges. YMMV. I lost about 30 pounds with intermittent fasting, relatively painlessly, too.

I could never fast. I love food too much. I had dinner with Sam and WVU and looked like a total fatty compared to them. I think I had more food than both of them put together. The trade off is I have to be in the gym all the time to be able to do it. And I drink a ton of water.

I'm finally starting to see definition in my arms! Like actual definition. My bat wings are smaller too! No step challenge for me for next month. I'm going to use September to work on my arms and my core. I don't care how many steps I take.

Not a fantastic week for eating. I haven't been home since last Sunday, and this haven't been to the gym at all. I'm getting walks in but as we're hanging out with family there's been way too much food!

Missed step goal by over 8000 steps.
Had two bad days. Tuesday my muscles were just sore so had a low day. Saturday I knew it was going to be difficult to get in my steps. I went to a beer festival in the afternoon. I had hoped to get in a walk before the festival however I overslept thus no walk.
I am going to keep my goal at 75000. Hoping to increase water consumption.
Have a great week everyone.

Rough week... allergies were bad and I felt awful. Perhaps when allergens are bad, I shouldn't eat things that make them worse! In my defense, I was at MILs last weekend... and had to eat what was available, which included bread and eggs. Then I ate bread and eggs twice last week and on Saturday I had a 5k which involved donuts. Dinner out involved bread... ( only 1 slice) then I had eggs yesterday. So... This week, no eggs, dairy or gluten. I have to stop letting one meal turn in to 3 or 4 throughout the week!
Naturally, my anniversary is 1 week away... must try and plan a dinner out that doesn't involve a huge indulgence.

Story of my life. But replace eggs, dairy, and gluten with chocolate and fast food. when i had dairy regularly... i rarely ate chocolate. And i've never been big on fast food. my dark chocolate habit started once i had to ditch my cheese. my dark chocolate consumption is down now... since I found soy in everything. I found some dark chocolate without all the crap, but it is $4 a bar. so I have half a serving a day instead of 1 serving so the bar will last my 5 day work week lol

I've spaced out my nondairy ice cream for the same reason. I'm going to have the last of it today.

eating has been God awful lately and I haven't been working out hard enough to offset it. Yesterday I did a 10 min yoga flow followed by a pretty brutal 28 min leg/butt workout. I am the Tin Man today. I also have a headache and discovered a cavity, so my eating should be markedly better/less today.

Just got out of the shower. Zumba Boy must have been in the feels today about Charlotteville. He made it a point to tell everyone how our class was a positive and safe place and how everyone is friends regardless of color. He's so cute. ❤

I was at Zumba last night and my blood sugar took a nosedive. I went from.feeling a little funny to I'm seriously going to pass out in about 5 minutes. I had to leave. I came home and started shoving sugar in my face until I felt better.

I HATE getting older. I mean I have no problems looking older, having more grey hair, having wrinkles or in general looking my age. But the slowing of metabolism? Geez, thats a HARD pill to swallow. I am 40.5 and already it feels like my metabolism is on a crawl. Add to that hypothyroidism, and my body is a mess. Through the lips and forever on the hips

See, I'm 45 and I do have problems looking my age. Fortunately, I don't have wrinkles, except for a few on my forehead, but everything else. I'm in better shape now than I was 10 years ago, so at least I don't feel my age as much. That's what fueled my desire to get back in shape, though. Felt like it was now or never.

I'm tired. I didn't do any regimented form of a workout today so now I'm tired. This is weird for me. I moved a bureau from upstairs to my bedroom downstairs and shifted some furniture upstairs so I did something but not a lot. Guess I need to stick to exercising every day. How odd.

I made it through Zumba tonight! I didn't pass out or anything! I did stick a granola bar in my bag before I went and snarfed it right before class started because I was starting to feel a little shaky.

I told Thing 2 that I was 80% of the way to the north pole in our challenge and she called me Forrest Gump.
