NEW DELHI: US President-elect Donald Trump today misspelled 'unprecedented' as 'unpresidented,' in a tweet on China seizing an unmanned US Navy drone in the South China Sea . Although he later published a corrected version of his tweet, his gaffe inspired several Twitter users - including former Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah - to use the hashtag #unpresidented to mock him. Here's Trump's original tweet. "China steals US Navy research drone in international waters - rips it out of the water and takes it to China in unpresidented act." And here are the puns Omar Abdullah promptly came up with at Trump's expense. "Looks like the President-Elect needs "unpresidented" home schooling to help his spellings. At least we know he types his own tweets!" "A lot of Americans are probably wishing they could unpresident @realdonaldtrump right about now #unpresidented" The ex-Jammu and Kashmir CM wasn't alone in poking fun at the US President-elect. This jibe mocks something Trump actually said during his election campaign. "Trump knows words, he has the best words. #Unpresidented" This isn't the first time Trump has misspelled a word in a tweet. Last week, he misspelled ridiculous as 'rediculous' in a tweet in which he alleged that the American news channel CNN wa Today, hundreds of new tweets inundated the #unpresidented hastag page before Trump could publish a corrected tweet. Some of the comments are pretty funny too... So if Trump is having lose motions...will twitteratis go and lick it up too??! timesofindia.indiatimes.com/world/us/us-president-elect-donald-trump-mispells-unprecedented-in-a-tweet-on-china-twitter-roars/articleshow/56038083.cmsMiriam-Webster dictionary had its own response. “Good morning! The #WordOfTheDayis...not 'unpresidented'. We don't enter that word. That's a new one,” the company tweeted. Faux "news" published only the ammended tweet. Which was corrected after thousands of mocking responses

He's unfit to be POTUS. Twitter isn't his friend.

I wish I'd known he sometimes misspelled words before I voted. I didn't vote for him, but had I known that he occasionally misspelled words....I would have voted for Hillary. I mean, we still have a President who doesn't know how many states we have. We can't have this, too.

I mean, we still have a President who doesn't know how many states we have. We can't have this, too. Its OK to misspell words. This one is just funny because it appears to be an unintentional Freudian slip.
#unpresidented will likely be one of the more famous Trumpisms. Bush had his speeches, it appears Trump will have his memorable tweets.

Wonder if he will be "unpresidented" before his term is up?

It has nothing to do with spelling. Even my father, a staunch republican, is yelling about him putting down his damn twitter account.
Its about, why open your mouth and prove it...
Its about the totally unpresidented behavior of this cretenous demagogue.

I liked John Fugelsang's comment "Nixon was hateful but he wasn't ignorant. W was ignorant but he wasn't hateful. The incoming combo is #unpresidented"

I did. But I can still use the urban dictionary definition of Cretan and it works Again, not spelling issue.

And you and I both know if not for the "spelling issue" this wouldn't have been posted, so it is the issue for some. I'm so tired of all these mindless threads on both sides. My choices are to skip over them (which I hate doing because there is a 1% chance one of them may have something even marginally educational), leave or to make fun of the worst of them. For now, I choose the latter.

You have to admit it's a great one though. I mean unpresidented. It does seem Freudian. If it had been unprecadented it would have been a spelling error... but it wouldn't have been funny...

Seriously, never was.
A German Professor at my school got into a fight with another Professor that voted third party (personally, think it was bullocks he got mad at him for third party) but he's furious because he said that he's been studying the effects, his parents were part of the holocaust and that how can the Americans not see the signs that were going back in time...that history is repeating itself.
Like the man's been studying World War 2, the Holocaust, Hitler, how it all started for basically his entire life and he's terrified right now for the United States.
Among other reasons, not just those alone.
-- But the fight was kind of crazy :'x was very out of place as it was in the middle of the hallway where everyone can hear and see and so much shouting. >.>
-- I know a lot of Republicans as well, even people that voted for him that think his twitter posts need to stop and believe he needs to stop with the sexist, and racial slurs, because they do believe it's not okay for a President to do so. They merely voted for him because they trusted Clinton less, but they still want him to stop being such a disgusting pig.
-- Yes, ordinary people can say some of the things he says... but to be honest... A President SHOULD always be held to a higher standard. The stuff that comes out of his mouth shouldn't as a President.

Because we all know none of us have never misspelled a word. I just think this is something the democrats will never understand. This is the kind of thing that makes Trump appealing to a lot of people. It's stuff like this that makes him feel human and relatable on a personal level.

I recall the same things being said by Bush supporters right after he won. They voted for the guy they'd rather have a beer with and Gore was so boringly stuffy. Intellectual cabability, careful reasoning, deliberative actions are SO unappealing in a President.

You mean like not actually losing the nuclear codes for a week like Bill did? That kind of standard? Source please. As far as I can tell that is another unfounded accusation being tossed out by the right wing.
