loggerheads with each other when he is sworn into office. It seems he doesn't believe their analasist of what is going on in the world ...kind of the way he said he could out general the generals in the fight against ISIS. Much more, just scroll down till u get to the link.. ]============================================== It seems that according to a secret investigation by CIA, Russia did intervene in our recent Presidential election and not to cause just discension with the populace but to influence the election in favor of the winner, Donald Trump. I am now wondering a few things... First will the Donald take to the tweet airways and lambast and call out the Russians and especially their leader Mr. Putin..[nothing of this magnitude would be done with out his ok and encouragement] or just stay with dissing the ones who criticize him..preferrable the private citizens,, Second...I am wondering what reactions here will the Donald supporters and conservatives on the board find these Russian attacks on our systems, our way of life acceptable because it helped them gain what they wanted politically...forgetting in a way it being a declaration of war against us.. ----------------------------------------------------- To read complete article click on link below www.courant.com/nation-world/ct-cia-russia-help-trump-win-20161209-story.html"The CIA has concluded in a secret assessment that Russia intervened in the 2016 election to help Donald Trump win the presidency, rather than just to undermine confidence in the U.S. electoral system, according to officials briefed on the matter.Intelligence agencies have identified individuals with connections to the Russian government who provided WikiLeaks with thousands of hacked emails from the Democratic National Committee and others, including Hillary Clinton's campaign chairman, according to U.S. officials. Those officials described the individuals as actors known to the intelligence community and part of a wider Russian operation to boost Trump and hurt Clinton's chances."It is the assessment of the intelligence community that Russia's goal here was to favor one candidate over the other, to help Trump get elected," said a senior U.S. official briefed on an intelligence presentation made to U.S. senators. "That's the consensus view."ahhhh we do get the Donalds view as well as his transition teams too...My reading is he, the Donald, is now going to have to fire the whole upper and middle levels of the CIA because he is calling them , as I try to understand his / their assessment of intelligence from that government organization that leaders get from them, inadequate..nonsensecal and poor. [Must make those hard working folks over there feel great when they realize their new soon to be boss think they all are a bunch of inadequate analist and piss poor at their jobs...off with their heads will be the next tweet possible] You the man ...you go Donald...How to win friends and influence people...still blaming them, CIA for poor intelligence back in the day...how long ago now...ten years or more...am sure there have been successes..problem about their successes , they can't really talk about them The Trump transition team dismissed the findings in a short statement issued Friday evening. "These are the same people that said Saddam Hussein had weapons of mass destruction. The election ended a long time ago in one of the biggest Electoral College victories in history. It's now time to move on and 'Make America Great Again,' " the statement read.
Trump has consistently dismissed the intelligence community's findings about Russian hacking.

First: I expect he will continue to deny it. And, quite likely, attack tbe reporter and/or the Washington Post
Second: I expect his supporters will say, "So what?"

Gotcha...funny..... However in listening to the news this AM on CNN...commentator brought up something interesting and I agree with him....the split in the country is so extreme between the two sides in the country...when faced with a enemy ...Russia is no friend.....instead of coming together as it was back in the day and saying and feeling "I am a American.." By the Donalds dissing the information of our intelligence department, dismissing quickly and out of hand....today what is more important is whether one identifies with the political party.."I am a Republican, I am a Democrate" is what he is saying that is most important. Possible some here feel that way...thankfully I do not..My mantra is " I ama American" ..party affiliation not even on the same page.. Proving this is the Donalds and his team disregarding the intelligence from our top intelligence department...not even saying we will have to look into this more..just disregarding because of faulty information of over ten years ago....actually looking favorable on a enemy over anything else. More and more he and his people are proving out that he is not a President of all..no matter what he calls out for...more that for so many of us by his continuouse doings..."He is not my President"..just a thought

""These are the same people that said Saddam Hussein had weapons of mass destruction," the transition said in a terse, unsigned statement."This is not the same agency of the Iraq findings which was over 13 years ago...to just dismiss out of hand because of partison politics...this guy is just continuing to show how he is not up to the job...one has to do more as a leader then just say.."Trust me...make America great" Not to be up in arms over these accusations of Russian involvement to influence our election..that which seperated us from the Russian system and the system that so much of the world looks to as it's model...it's unconscionable This President elect is going to have the title of "Commander in Chief" that refers to those Americans who have volunteered to serve and protect and by so doing have comitted to go into harms way and if has to be..even pay the ultimate price and should know that their commander in chief has their back...but as proved in this case..the man is more interested in partison politics and actually may support one who really has no love in their heart toward us or our country.

For argument sake let's assume 100% Russia hacked Podesta's emails. What's more important than what Trump thinks, is what has Obama DONE?
We have a dem administration / POTUS, and allegedly the Russians hacked / sabotaged a dem candidate. How did a dem administration let that happen?? and what have they done about it?? I seem to remember Biden saying we were going to counter cyber attack Russia or whatever, but it seems that never happened. I haven't heard of any sanctions or anything against Russsia for this....just some minor scolding, which worked so well against Russia in Crimea
So when the dems are actually in power and do NOTHING about an alleged Russian hack / cyber attack on the election against THEIR dem candidate, why would anyone CARE what Trump thinks or plans to do?.......What has Obama done??

Believe / know there is a investigation going on , also , there was concerns from administration that it would be thought from the Donald side...and most likely would have been..that Obama was playing partisan politics...It wasn't as if Russia was manipulating the actual gathering of votes...They supposedly had hacked into Dem and GOP files..but released only the hacked Dem files to Wicki Leeks so they were already out there with what ever negatives toward the Hillery were there.. They didn't leak the GOP files because they only wanted to help the Donald to a Win over Hillery..feeling he would be a better POTUS for their benefit over the next four years.. There is no real evidence that this Russian involvement cost Hillery the election..how can one prove such a thing.. However the fact that the Donald and his advisors, supporters , are dissing his/our own intelligence community and not condeming the Russians for meddling in our electorial process....IMHO actually comitting a act of war against us ...that is the disgrace..just another reason why he is not a patriot, he will not be considered "My President"...I do not see him changing..Donald is for Donald..Donald would probably sell his mother if it would benefit the Donald... well at least one or more of his previouse wifes anyway...possible a bit strong regarding his Mom...[I can get carried away a bit , I will admit ]

I saw the headline first thing when I opened my internet browser this morning. Not much of a "secret" LoL. Edit: Oh! Almost forgot! So what? "Ed Oh! Almost forgot! So what?"As suggested earlier...for some, especially the supporters of the Donald...what is important for them is more.." I am a Republican ...must support my leader no matter what" rather then..as in the past.."We stand together against the foe, the attacker..I am a American and stand with my fellows no matter who they are" [kind of didn't expect that from u Ratch..knowing your history...guess shouldn't be surprised by anything anymore..but still disappointing..]

Right. So let's worry about what Trump says and thinks and not what Obama does.
Many weeks ago Biden said they knew it was Russia and that the US would "take action" (implying a counter cyber attack). As of today, I guess they are "still investigating"...,,
The election been over for a bit. The "hacks" happened quite a while ago. The POTUS really took care of his party. However let's concentrate on Trump, and say nothing on Obama's inaction.
I was really hoping they would mess with Russia's power grid or something like they did to North Korea after the Sony hack. But instead, nothing. Way to go Obama

Don't worry, I just heard on the news the Dems are mad and are gonna demand Congressional investigative hearings (which will be held next year) on the Russian hacking stuff. I have full confidence that will solve everything

Bullshit.
The Democrats are in VERY dangerous territory right now. This fantasy that there will be a soft coup d'etat is wildly irresponsible. The election WILL NOT be overturned without violence on a scale we have not experienced since the civil war. In fact, it will be civil war. Do the Democrats want to play the civil war card for the second time in our history- and for the same reason: they're just upset they can't enslave people?

As far as violence..Paul u going to be out there in front leading the way? There will be no violence riviling the civil war..no more violence beyond a half assed disruption after a championship basketball game when students drink to much, act up on campus and then parents have to come to campus and bail them out. Enslaving folks into the picture too...really Paul u are having a melt down...regarding slaving folks...since something like 90 % of our Black citizens seem to support the Democrats, no matter what the Donald says...say 87% of the Jewish citizens vote and support the same, also very high too with the latins...who are going to be enslaved Paul. Think you are agreeing..your post doesn't make much sense..no enslavement, no civil war and most importantly, probably no change in the election outcome ........dam it.

I thought there were all kinds of laws against releasing secret info,
Either it is not secret or it is a figment of some liberal's imagination!!
Are we grasping for straws here??

"Tensions between Donald Trump and U.S. intelligence officials boiled over Saturday as Trump's transition team mockingly compared a secret CIA assessment that Russia tried to sway the U.S. election in Trump's favor to the agency’s historic misjudgments on Iraq’s weapons of mass destruction.
The widening public rift between the incoming president and the nation’s powerful intelligence community could pose high-risk problems both for his administration and for national security.
CIA leaders at agency headquarters in Langley, Va., are bracing for a potentially adversarial relationship with Trump’s White House, especially over what the spy agency sees as Russia’s malign role on multiple fronts, according to two officials who requested anonymity in speaking about internal discussions.
“It sets up one of the great crises in the history of the executive branch,” said Glenn Carle, a former senior CIA officer who spent more than two decades as a spy before retiring in 2007. “All the agency can do short of insurrection is to present the facts when allowed to the executive we serve.”Just another example of" how to win friends and influence people" Also another mis truth...the information about the weapons of mass destruction that was in error was over thirteen years ago..those prime folks there at the time are long gone, CIA has done major house cleaning since, changed their way of doing things. Can analist still be mistaken ? Of course nature of the beast but to just diss them as not worthy, basically not worth shit....useing excuse of something that happened thirteen years ago just shows , [sigh, again,] how out of touch this new administration is...and it is his people so it is all on the Donald....to piss off such a department , kill the moral, you don't just put out a Sunday ad for trained experienced analist, spies and get people the next day competent to take over.. Donald when are u and yours going to stop doing things poorly..man u haven't even been sworn in yet..

And, fortunately the good "ol" U.S.A has never tried to influence elections or leaderships around the world at any time.

The reason we have been spending billions or is it trillions in defense $ and young Americans have paid the ultimate price through having to battle surogates of that country ...and when they attempt to influence our elective process...not saying they were the cause of the result..who really knows if anyone was influenced in any way by these actions..only the voters themselves can answer that, but still they were active in trying to influence one way or the other.... in your opinion it's no biggie that the Russians tried to influence and it's ok for our President elect to basically diss his shortly soon own intelligence service , otherwise it might look like he needed help in winning this election. Your ok with that right? I know u support him but still..possible he is correct when he said he could committ a murder on a street in public and his supporters would find no fault with him....scary man, real scary

Desi is going to be a really prolific poster for the next four years Do you really want to go there after your prolific posting the past 5 years? I don't recall anyone saying that about you. Speaking of prolific posters, look at the numbers...... Mine are spread over a couple of boards, of which a couple have nothing to do with political rhetoric. I actually prefer the investing board, although I admit I have been prolific on the politics board, just as you have Myself, I am much more interested in investing and making money, as I have much more of a chance of helping myself and family economically than I can by simply voting and hoping we are taken care of by Big Brother
