So peeps, tell me about what foods/recipes to eliminate gluten from your diet. I have done my research, but want to hear from others that have first hand knowledge. I know that we have several members that are/have been dealing with this issue.

suesinfl, I found eating low carb (cutting out flour and sugars) helped reduce headaches, sluggishness and other symptoms.

Hmmm, I got nothing on the gluten and migraine.... I didn't know gluten was a migraine trigger.
My migraine triggers are the monthly flux of hormones and complicated by certain foods/drinks. An "oldtime sized" glass or two of red wine once in a while is fine... I try to avoid modern sized glasses of red wine (8 to 12 ounce glasses) no good comes from one of those. Also if I have wine a couple of nights in a row, nothing good ever comes from that.
Certain meat products do me in... the local butcher's Thuringers for example - intense over the top migraine within hours. Their knockworst - no problem. Eckridge smoked sausage - migraine within 24 hours. Smoked Butt - migraine within 24 hours. A couple of slices of any kind of bacon once a week - no problem. A couple of slices of bacon every day for three or four days = a migraine on day 4 or for sure on day 5.
I tend to avoid "smoked" anything and sausages/hotdogs. I have discovered I'm ok with chicken sausages (like any of the ones from Trader Joe's).
Aspartame and caffeine don't trigger a headache. I don't have conclusive proof that MSG triggers my headaches either... but I do try to avoid it or limit it. (so if I do have a take out dinner that I know is high in MSG (mmm, savory goodness!) I WON"T bother with leftovers. One meal of it is enough).

Thank you both. DD's migraines are returning again after she went off the pill and now has a marina (?). The doctor suggested that she try a gluten free diet. She usually eats pretty good, little junk food, fresh meat and veggies, with a little pasta/rice thrown in. I was just wondering if anyone else had any experience with different foods.
We are just having a hard time figuring out the triggers, although I have noticed that stress/lack of sleep does not help.
