When you control the voting machines, you can make them say anything you want. Want to guess who owns those voting machines?

I disagree. I think it's the opposite. I think people are just so blindly enamored with her that they can't see clearly. I honestly can't see how anyone with half a brain could, in good conscience, vote for either of them. I'm trying to learn, however! i would like to meet someone enamored with her. even her husband would not clear that bar, imo. Well? I'd be glad to introduce you to some of my friends! Our group is sort of half/half when it comes to party affiliation. Even "my" half - with the exception of one person, says they won't vote for Trump but can't understand why anyone would vote for Mrs. Clinton. the "other" half, well...nothing would dissuade them. Frankly, I think it's because she's a woman and most of my more liberal friends tend to be more "feminist" than I, as that word pertains to Iamwomanhearmeroar. They are completely blind to any bad qualities because...well...she's a woman. Not good enough for me.

No different than voting for someone because they're black, or of the right religion, or whatever. If it's wrong it's wrong. I still think Biden will come out at the last minute but I've been told I'm naive.

I think people are just so blindly enamored with her that they can't see clearly.
What I want to know is how our government can't even balance a budget but somehow is capable of a vast conspiracy theory to cover up Hillary's misdeeds so well that NINE investigations have found nothing to convict her of.
Maybe that is why nothing gets done? They are too busy orchestrating elaborate schemes behind the scenes.
Meanwhile we have computers that are so outdated that you can't even load basic malware protection on them holding things like the codes to launch our nuclear missles with the justification that they are still working so why replace them with something more modern and secure?
Sorry I can't get my panties in a wad over Hillary sending emails over an unsecured server when our government sees nothing wrong with using outdated technology to house data that could cause our extinction.
We're also bitching about our government's out of control spending but we're perfectly fine with them having NINE hearings over this?
If that makes me "enamored" with her to the point I can't see clearly then whatever. I think it's the other way around.

I think not voting at all is also irresponsible so I won't take that route. I suppose it will come down to the lesser of the two evils. I just haven't decided which one is rising to the top of Crap Creek.

Although I'm sure there are many enamored with Hillary (of course this can be said of any major candidate as somebody somewhere loves them) I would disagree that this is as widespread as GEL indicates.
The proof? The incredible success of Bernie Sanders to come out of nowhere and challenge the anointed one with some quite impressive vote and delegate totals.
I also don't give much credence to the 'they voted for Obama because he was Black and they will vote for Hillary because she is a woman' theories. Do any of us really believe a Black Repo would go Obama or that all Black demos wouldn't with McCain/Palin being such a strong ticket? And women for Hillary? Does anyone know of a staunch Repo woman with a history of voting the R ticket that will vote for Hillary because she is a woman? Please.

I heard some excitement about Obama being the first black president. I have heard zero excitement about Hillary being the first woman president. In fact, most people talk about voting for Hillary with the same enthusiasm that they kiss their elderly aunt - don't really want to, but will anyway.
I don't know any women who have told me they would vote for Hillary because she's a woman, but I live in a very conservative neck of the Bible belt.
In a way I kind of feel bad for Hillary - I've heard she's actually a very warm person, behind the scenes. Very good mom and grandmom. That warmth fails to carry over into her public persona, for some reason. Maybe she's trying so hard to appear presidential and trustworthy it makes us suspect she's just the opposite.

I am depressed this morning. If we have this many people on the board that do not think this is an issue that presents a problem for the whether you qualify for being President and whether it matters, I have little hope for our country's future direction. She lied to America She broke protocols of her own State Department. Just blow it off. Nothing to see here. Yeh, right. She calls Trump a selfish corrupt businessman, and yet she is a selfish corrupt serial politician. I think you just hate Hillary and can't see clearly. She did exactly what her two prior predecessors did.
Last I read, the only fact in evidence was that Ms. Rice had set up a private e-mail server. Nobody knows whether she used it to conduct State Department business. In any case, if she did, she's plainly violated the same statute and ought to be prosecuted as well. Her misconduct doesn't excuse Ms. Clinton's, and Ms. Clinton's doesn't excuse hers. The law is appreciably simple that way.

That warmth fails to carry over into her public persona, for some reason. Maybe she's trying so hard to appear presidential and trustworthy it makes us suspect she's just the opposite. I heard she bakes her grandkids little star-shaped cookies they call "starries", and she puts a different pattern of chocolate chips and sprinkles on each one so that the kids know exactly whose is whose. She comes up with fantastic stories about a dinosaur trying to eat the starries, and the kids eat their cookies while she tells the story. The fun part is she pretends she's the dinosaur and is going to eat the starries, and the kids have to eat the cookies themselves to "save" them from her. By the time all is said and done, the kids are so tired out from laughing and hugs and tickles from grandma, she just carries them up to bed. But then I heard she's a blood-sucking snake that couldn't tell her grandkids from shaved capybaras and she once loaned them out to Lloyd Blankfein for photo ops in exchange for a quarter million in payola for her 2012 bid. I started to suspect that I shouldn't base my opinion of her on hearsay about her "behind the scenes" personality.

even Josef Stalin was nice to his kids. Khrushchev reportedly used to get blind drunk and dance on the table in front of him at parties. Who says he wasn't a fun-loving guy.

I find it sort of funny that Opti makes a post about people being so angry with Mrs. Clinton that they can't see clearly and nobody...says...a...word. I suggest maybe the opposite is true and people lose their minds. Kinda lends to credence to what I said.
I don't happen to think that criminal charges were appropriate in this case. I don't think they could prove any kind of intent. The fact that she was extremely careless and "might not have understood what 'classified' " means is all I need to know. I honestly don't understand any other thinking. I do understand feeling that, while it's bad, it's not AS bad as the alternative, but it's still bad and I kind of giggle at how people will go out of their way to keep from saying it.
We are in deep trouble, people. We just have to choose which flavor of trouble we prefer. Obama is starting to look good. I never thought he was horrible, but now he's looks pretty damn good!

And the Watergate scandal was an immediate scandal created by Nixon? He did not even know the break in occurred. His mistake was trying to bury the fact it happened, and then being involved in hiding it from the Justice department. Sort of like the Justice department is doing with Hillary, only we are seeing it occur right before our eyes, and the American public, says, no big deal. This lays at the feet of President Obama, but it looks like he is keeping arm's length from it, although for a year he has stated to the media she did not do anything wrong. Comey said she did. VB, I offer a link to the Articles of Impeachment. If you wish to make the case for similarities, that would be a good tool to use. If all you want to do is make the claim and offer "(s)ort of like" as proof, have fun. All I am suggesting is the cover up for Hillary is occurring in plain sight of everyone. Bill and Hillary are just that damn bold. That plane meeting is just absurd. Then an announced meeting for Hillary on a Saturday holiday weekend. Then the investigation results are announced on Tuesday after a holiday weekend. If this were two business billionaires that met, and certain collusion was agreed to effecting either corporate stock prices or retail pricing collusion the very next week and word leaked they were discussing grand kids and golf (does she even golf? Maybe with the President ) we would see a million man march on Washington of Democrats and Unions on the ills of big business. Give it a few weeks to shake out. Comey today said to Congress he was not part of the meeting with Hillary, and just read the results and talked to I think, two interviewers......... Now I know, he does not necessarily lead the interview, but if I were him, I would have freaking made sure he talked to everyone of the five people present and grilled the heck out of each one privately.

No. Not one. I don't know any woman gaga to vote for Trump either. The women I know are either contemplating gagging over a trump vote, or meh like voting for Hilary mostly due to anti trump and anti republican control of the court... or contemplating not voting at all.
The only people I know who have been excited about any candidate this election are a few men who are loving trump, and those people who supported Bernie.

Comey also seemed to think that her actions didn't meet that standard, either. as to your last comment, that might explain why is popularity is approaching a 5 year high.

Yes, I know, you did not know them. It does not mean they do not exist.
