I'm 34 and you just turned 30. Nanny nanny boo boo! I am right! I am closer to 31 than I am to 30 So we are both right But when you are 31 I'll be closer to 35. Also, couple = 2; few = 3 or more. I AM RIGHT FOREVER!!!!! I'm also obviously the most mature.

Led Zeppelin.
RIP to this Lemmy dude, but Zep was the inspiration for heavy metal. And they could do it with an acoustic guitar thrown in! I don't think anyone called Lemmy the inventor of metal, I'm not sure you can call anyone that. Except maybe the sleazy blues sound they all seem to love/have in common down deep.

I've ever met anyone that said Motorhead was the inspiration for heavy metal. They're one of those groups that even if you never heard of them odds are one of the metal/rock bands you listen to or know of would name them as an inspiration. They weren't the first to do it but the way they played and their sound influenced a lot of bands and artists.
In true Lemmy fashion even though multiple speed metal bands cited Motorhead and particularly his guitar play as an influence he said he never saw it because more or less they were just playing fast and loud and the guitar solos weren't difficult.

Yup. Influence can come from anywhere, buy many artists have stated over the years how influential Motorhead was to them. I just read this decent tribute from Lars Ulrich: www.rollingstone.com/music/news/metallicas-lars-ulrich-on-lemmy-his-spirit-will-always-live-in-us-20151229

Black Sabbath I believe was the heavy metal inspiration, I also think Judas Priest could be as well. I seen both of these bands live. Yeah I'm a metal head right to my soul.

I never saw Black Sabbath. I've been to Ozzfest a few times but that is tame compared to how it was back in the day. I've seen Judas Priest a few times as well. I'm pure country now but I banged my head with the best of them back when.

RIP Meadowlark Lemon. I saw him and the Harlem Globetrotters once.
The other Lemmy, I've never heard of him. May he rest in peace as well.
