Boils down to a a lot of arguments- many wrong on their face. Current law in most states allows landlords to ban guns. Their property. And the popular wrong response is : you cannot contract away your civil rights In reality the 2nd amendment applies to the government only. Same with the first or the fourth. You can agree to a lease that stipulates no yard signs, the right for the landlord to inspect the premesis, etc. Freedom of contract- which is of course the cornerstone of less government- is now going to be nannied by the gun lobby? No hypocrites here
