Did I do good? Thinking about getting this to run some serious art rendering software. My current hardware keeps seizing up and I'm pretty sure this has more than enough juice to do what I want. m.tigerdirect.com/products/9896448?SRCCODE=WEM4698WB&utm_source=EML&utm_medium=main&utm_campaign=WEM4698&cm_lm=5576fb4409I think it's got everything I need except for a Blueray writer/reader and cable for such. The graphics card built into the motherboard may need upgrading but there's slots for that. I'm a bit miffed I can't easily find out what graphics are built in. Any comments, suggestions? My current CPU clocks at 1.33Ghz and this one clocks at 3.3Ghz. This should fit the bill. Please don't get techie on me, I'm way out of date.

OMG, You have lost me....you say "juice" and I'm wondering orange? cranberry? Graphics cards? Are those like what they used to confiscate from middle schoolers (circa 1962-1964) for having inappropriate stuff on them? Motherboard? Is that what mother kept in a drawer in the pantry that was similar to that board of education teachers kept handy for unruly children? Upgrading? that used to be good in school....far better than when your grades were headed down (resulting in an occasional ruler across the knuckles) CPU clocks? do those run on Grenwich time? 1.33 Ghz? Generally horrible zombie?? And only 1 and 1/3 of them? I'm no techie...and my date says "expired"

I am not very techie, but you may want to consider a solid state drive. It would make your graphics load and run a lot faster, but if you do a ton of editing and overwriting it would also potentially wear out faster than an HDD.
Prices have really come down recently, we were able to buy a 512GB SSD for $200 on Amazon, so although they are still more expensive than HDD they aren't prohibitively expensive.

Hmm, didn't think of that. It's for art programs, and the only time I'd actually be overwriting is when I'm saving a file, so something to think about.
