Cubs game Democratic debate NCIS (my usual choice) imo, no choice at all. Cubbies! Six home runs last night! And now we have the Mets one win away from winning the other play off. They finally get redemption for 1969! And this from a SOX fan.......

i think that Joe's candidacy would doom Sanders. it might doom Clinton's, as well, depending on how things go. I think people are getting worn out with Hillary's baggage (email crap, Bengazi crap) and her apparent lack of enthusiasm for the job of POTUS. Which is annoying, because the email and Bengazi crap have been drummed up from mole hills into mountains by the GOP, but she can't seem to shake it off. It will be interesting to see how they hold up at the debate. I've heard Bernie can be thin skinned and might go off if someone pokes him with a stick. Hillary has to pretend to be enthusiastic. And the rest just have to get noticed.

It could be, IF she showed some energy. She's been surprisingly lethargic, IMHO, and often whiny.

She's been surprisingly lethargic, IMHO, and often whiny. she is very deliberate and calculated, and that actually plays into a very negative image of her. it reminds me of Kerry, actually. he always seemed DISTANT. he didn't connect well. same with Romney. these people lack the sort of charismatic spark that helps them connect with the electorate. i honestly don't know if she has it in her. we'll see. that comment reminded me of THIS: www.collegehumor.com/video/6770158/james-lipton-gives-mitt-romney-acting-advice

I am looking forward to tonight's debate. CNN is only having one moderator, and he should be able to control the debate flow rather well. It does not hurt to have so few candidates too. Should get some excellent point-counterpoint arguments, if it goes well.
Just wish since they were holding a lectern open for Biden, Trump would show up and debate everyone now. That would be a floorshow worth seeing.

Nine pm and the debate begins with Hillary's first question. The trade deal. I supported it before I was against it

Were you expecting The State Anthem of the Russian Federation or something similar to be played?

Were you expecting The State Anthem of the Russian Federation or something similar to be played? Maybe you missed the memo- only the Republican party is comprised of patriots and true Americans and therefore have exclusive use of the national anthem, flag pins, etc. Watching this- so far they are actually talking about issues rather than each other like the GOP debate spent a lot of time on- and no mention of Trump yet

Looks like we are at halftime. Hillary is looking good to me Sanders, is showing his socialist side and anti military stance. I think he is hurting himself with mainstream Dems, if there are any left. I expected he would handle his presentation a little better than he is. Webb complaining he is ignored and cut off, which they are doing to him. Anderson told him you agreed to our terms For me, no one else is showing much, but it's only my opinion. I think CNN is doing a good job other than ignoring the lower rated candidates.

I am sorry. The second half of the debate has fallen apart for anyone but the far left socialist portion of the party. Every candidate is out doing each other on how much they will tax the wealthy and big banks and how much they will give to everyone, especially all the illegals. Sanders is being out socialized by both Hillary and O'Mally. Webb still complaining it is the Bernie and Hillary hour, and Sanders is saying you knew the rules when you agreed to attend the debate. Cooper couldn't even get a word in. Oh yeh, when they are not out socializing Bernie, it is the Republican's fault. No one is defending America as being great. They make it sound like we are third rate no nothing country.
And now the topper: when asked how Hillary would differ from a third Obama term, she said it's obvious, she is a woman. Wow.
Any Republican candidate is beginning to look better to me. Oh yes, Chafee is lost up there. Literally. He is toast. O'Malley is simply crazy.

There's been a fair bit of that tonight as well. I blame the moderators for that game, not any of the candidates from either party.

I would say the status quo was maintained tonight. Hillary and Bernie maintain their places, and no one gained on them. Still all in all, the socialism of Bernie carried the atmosphere tonight. All candidates tried to be the left of Bernie, which is no easy feat.

At the time I posted I did NOT realize the Cub's game was so early. My 2 remaining choices became moot as I fell asleep.
I am currently NOT happy w/any candidate of either party.
