Sometimes I wonder, If these wonderful slaves had not been brought here, where would they be? There are two sides to every coin. Of course it was wrong, but it was of its time...they didn't know better. Still, where would they be? I wonder where the entire continent of Africa would be had the biggest and strongest not been ripped from their society. They might be an economic and military powerhouse today. You mean they weren't sitting around the campfire collecting welfare? Funny how certain people in this country view them today- and of course it depends on context. Black men are either some incredible thug hulk that can only be stopped by gunfire, or a lazy moocher.

Actually, the biggest and strongest among them were the slavers raiding villages and selling their fellow Africans into slavery. Having said this, it's hard to imagine the slave trade not setting Africa back at least a bit.

Not being racist - but even if they were related, people born hundreds of years apart don't necessarily have the same work ethic, or any other personality trait. Don't we hear all the time that 'this younger generation is lazy...blah, blah, blah....get off my lawn." Nor does their physical strength indicate work ethic. Saying we stole the strongest people off the continent doesn't mean that every one of their ancestors is a docile, workaholic. Your logic is bad on this one.
