Wonder how people feel about this and whether they watched him?
There was no confession or atonement.
Brian Williams was all business when he returned to television Tuesday, anchoring MSNBC’s coverage of the arrival of the Pope in Washington D.C.
“Good day. I'm Brian Williams at MSNBC headquarters here in New York,” the network’s new “breaking news anchor” said. “In a short time, Pope Francis will arrive in this country for the first time...”
He was polished and smooth with his delivery — as would be expected by a network news anchor who was at the top of his field before he was suspended for lying last winter.
Despite the spiritual theme of the unfolding papal story, Williams never acknowledged the transgressions that led to his absence from television and reassignment to MSNBC from the anchor of the NBC’s flagship news telecast “Nightly News.”

He was always polished and smooth with his delivery, even when lying. His credibility is much reduced IMHO.

Where between Brian Williams and the Pope do you find Hillary? Let's please try to remain somewhere close to the subject of the thread. There are plenty of other threads dedicated to thrashing Hillary. Thanks.

Well in all honesty, Hillary claims the Republicans attack her so much she should be up for Sainthood. But I guess I did digress

Brian Williams has apologized in the past and served his sentence of being off the air. I thought he did a good job today.

So... Brian Williams said the Pope is coming.
Does anyone know if the Pope is actually coming... or if this is just another lie from the king of broadcast lying?
*just kidding... I've already confirmed by trusted sources that the Pope is indeed coming... already arrived as a matter of fact!

No one thought this quote was real. Everyone who read it or will read it will immediately understand that the claim that Brian Williams said he was named "Co-Pope" is a joke. It is based in Brian Williams' well-known propensity to tell incredible fish tales.
Co-Pope? Seriously? Challenging me to source this quote is almost as ridiculous as the quote.

AgeOfEnlightenmentSCP Pretty bold of you to say no one thought this quote was real. Obviously some of us did and wanted a link to verify. Not all of us know when you are joking. Many time you are serious and I think you are joking. You just lost credibility with me.

It would not be the first time the poster found some bizarre website sporting nonsense and posting it here as fact. The last thread on the Politics/All Things Military board comes to mind.

How would you know whether Brian Williams made a confession or atonement? Is he even Catholic? Isn't that between him and his clergy? Or do people think he needs to make atonement to them personally?
As I recall, he "confessed" plenty on tv and apologized. You don't need to like him now, but to claim he's not confessed to lying and taken his lumps for it is silly.

I always like Brian Williams. He didn't seem to take himself too seriously. The fact that he was full of **** made me see his anecdotes differently. I rarely watched the evening news but when I did he was fine. I always thought of him and other major anchors as just news readers. If he had lied about news I would have thought different. About his experiences, I didnt really care. He and Hillary both lied about the same thing, taking shots from bad guys, and I don't care about his but think Hillary is awful, maybe it is the job they want, idk. (looked for the shrugging smilie but couldnt find it)

The bolded statement is the provocative first line from the link I posted, FWIW. I can see if you didn't read the link and are looking at this thread now it might be easy to miss the opening question was mine and the rest was from the link.

Paul - FWIW I agree with you 100%!!! (and yes, I thought it was funny!). You know it's a joke, I know it's a joke. Just like everyone knows McDonald's coffee is hot. BUT you and I also live in one of the most litigious societies on the face of this planet. That, and we do try to be consistent as humanely possible when we moderate. As such, when items are directly attributable to a living person we ask for a link. Else some single celled amoeba should decide another lawsuit is needed to clog the courts. Or alternatively, could you go back and add something like (I'm kidding - it's a joke)? Thanks! and regards - The Captain - Mod.

Like the ones with the pictures above. I know the first two are jokes, but am not sure about the third one, the one about the blowhole. Is that one fake too or is it true.

The co-pope reference was from Twitter under the hashtag BrianWilliamsPopeStories. It is indeed a joke. No need to get panties in a bunch.
