I cannot post links on droid but everyone is up in arms over a lady who was arrested for using somebody elses identification at a clinic in Texas. What they should be up in arms over is that a woman stole someone's identity and the public is thinking of protecting her. What about the person's whose identity was being used?? It's too bad that it was at a clinic and that her 8 year old daughter was upset over her being arrested. She wasn't arrested for seeking medical care as the web wants you to believe. She was arrested because she presented with somebody else's identification. Frankly, I thank the clerks for calling PD

Thanks for the link. She wasn't arrested for seeking medical care. She was arrested for using someone else's identity and should be incarcerated but, lucky for her, she'll only be deported

Not sure why she had to use a fake ID as the article states she had health insurance through her husband's job.

She wasn't using someone else's medical insurance card. According to the article, when asked to show a driver's license for the purpose of updating files, she presented one that appeared fake. Her attorney states that a fake Social Security card was discovered when the police searched her.
I'd like to think that the receptionist or whoever made the decision to call the cops regarding the fake DL, did not understand the likely consequences of that action.

My sister had her medical identity stolen. She's never had a child and has a severe adverse reaction to certain types of antibiotics.
This information was changed in her medical file and was only caught when she was going through some pre-op screening for a medical procedure. The nurse asked her if she was thinking about having any more children (the surgery would impact that) to which sissy stated she didn't have any.
Not according to the records. She delivered at the same hospital 3 years prior.
It's not funny. Her biggest fear later on when she was going through chemo and radiation treatment was that she'd get an infection and be given the wrong type of antibiotic on accident.

Oh right like that was the ONLY place she used someone else's identity. It was just the only place it was caught. haapai, I'd like to think that the receptionist knew that she was helping stop someone from using someone else's identity. Put yourself in the 'real' person's shoes. Wouldn't you want her stopped? I would

My dentist didn't catch this until I showed up for the appointment I originally made.
Someone changed my appointment time while I was out of town. Showed up for a check up and cleaning. I go in at the time I set up 6 months earlier. I let the dental office handle it.

I'd like to think the person who called the police on her knew exactly what they were doing. ??
