WOW was I off the mark on this guy.
Thought maybe he was a depressed person who tried to stage his death to look like a murder so his family would get his insurance policy/death benefits/public sympathy.
Actually felt kind of sorry for him that he was so depressed he felt he had to take his own life.
But NO! Embezzled from a charity fund for YEARS - AND tried to arrange a hit on a public servant who was uncovering the theft. Took the coward's way out to avoid public humiliation and possible jail time.
GEEZ I was so wrong on this guy. I guess I didn't want to think a police officer could be so evil.

Agreed, but there is also some word on the street that while this guy wasn't an angel, the department has corruption issues AND some people suspect some of these accusations against him are fabricated to throw the scent off other issues.
Like the small package of coke "found" in his desk that's allegedly been there for weeks? Umm, they have drug sniffing dogs in the station all the time, how is it possible this was missed?
I honestly don't know what to believe anymore.

And this my friends is why I try to wait until we have the facts before I make judgments about people in news stories. Can't say I'm always successful but I try! Naw, I think you never admit when you're wrong about something, and I do.

Better to offer sympathy before all the facts are known than condemnation. Sympathy costs us nothing.

Doesn't the State Police or FBI come in and investigate when things are this jagged up with a department?
Sure has made for interesting conversation and conspiracy theories around these parts.

Living in the area I keep following this story.
All I can say is that this story just keeps getting wierder & wierder day after day. Have NO clue what might yet come out re: the officer and/or entire department. Not particularly lookig forward to more revelations.
