The video shows a white Porsche 911 and a yellow Ferrari LaFerrari, a hybrid supercar with a combined horsepower rating of around 950, speeding through a residential tract at high speeds on Saturday evening in the 700 block of North Walden Drive. Here's the problem with "diplomatic immunity": It shouldn't be a "get out of jail/consequences free, forever" card. It should be a "one time pass", that way diplomats (and their families) couldn't/wouldn't abuse it like they do.

The driver of the LaFerrari then had a hostile encounter with a freelance journalist, Jacob Rogers. “He told me verbatim, ‘I could have you killed and get away with it,'” Rogers told KNBC. “I told him, ‘the press is allowed to be here on the sidewalk on a public street.’ He said, ‘F America’ and threw a cigarette at me.”" Going to be praying for a tree in his future.

They can be sent back to their own country. We aren't totally powerless. except that rarely happens. it just isn't "good diplomacy" to show someone the door after they show their ass. go figure.  |
