This coming week will be strange. We have the Fed on Thursday afternoon letting us know whether interest rates go up.
Market might go crazy either way on Friday, or just do nothing.......
I will go with Fed Ex Corp.

MRTX (short) Mirati Therapeutics
This stock closed Friday at $43.38 It has doubled in the last 12 market days.
Big charts shows a gain of about 93% during the last 30 days.
About one hour ago, I selected a list of 15 charts and this one had the largest gain
over the last 30 days as any of the others. I reviewed it's chart, and felt going long
on it was very foolish; therefore, I'm making it a Short.
Company founded 12/13/1995; hdq. in San Diego, CA.
33 employees.
52 week high/low: $44.6799/ $13.69

Clark, this note is for your eyes only; I don't want the other posters to read it. Now, jokingly, as you know I
would normally do this on the private message feature. But since it's day1 of the race, and you can change it
whenever you wish .... I'm briefly covering the error here.
I just clicked on the board, and just knew I'd be way down in the basement. Being in second place was
a real shock.
Here's my numbers: I picked horse ( MRTX ) as a short; opened at $43.19; closed at $46.29; which is
a negative number of 7.17%. Therefore, my horse and I are firmly planted in the Basement., for today.
I wish I had saddled up with MTRX ........ LOL ..... & I would have been in 2nd place.
With corrective numbers, I give you my #2 spot ...... but for Monday only.... LOL
I know this is going to affect my big prize money at Friday's winners' circle .... LOL

I expected to see some big gains from some of the field today, with the big gain for the DOW.
Then again with three horses going short this week, today was bad for two of them.

so if the economy is still a work in progress, does the Fed raise tomorrow? Interest rates on two and ten year notes suggest yes. Stock markets suggest no, unless sentiment changed the last two days and traders want a rate increase and think it is good for the stock market..... |

kadee66, I'm not sure that one site is more accurate than another but I use the Yahoo website for convenience. They are showing 29.77 and finviz also had a close of 29.77. I think it really depends on who the sites use for a data provider.

I track commodities and check CNBC and Bloomberg sites for closing prices of various items.
It amazes me how they differ in the final quoted prices on the same commodity on the contract month and will differ by a few tenths of a cent, or even a penny, quite frequently.
