He must really have had a death wish. A sad human being. Kansas jury says Jewish center killer should be executedKANSAS CITY, Kan., Sept 8 (Reuters) - A Kansas jury on Tuesday said a white supremacist who shot three people to death outside two Jewish centers last year should be put to death for the crimes. Frazier Glenn Cross, 74, a former senior member of the Ku Klux Klan who has been representing himself in court, was found guilty last month of killing Reat Underwood, 14, and his grandfather, William Corporon, 69, outside the Jewish Community Center of Greater Kansas City, and Terri LaManno, 53, outside a Jewish retirement home, both in Overland Park, Kansas. The jury also convicted Cross of three counts of attempted murder for shooting at three other people. Cross said during the trial he shot them because he thought they were Jewish but none of those killed were in fact Jewish. Cross, 74, gave a Nazi salute to the jury, and declared "Death to the Jews" at the end of his closing statement before the jury retired to consider his sentence.Kansas jury says Jewish center killer should be executed

It really upsets me that this man stayed on the planet for all those years and then in his seventies did this. I consider that the actions of a total coward.

As he acted as his own attorney, he probably won't appeal his conviction and death sentence. Maybe he will be executed within the next few months and not waste taxpayers' money.

Firing squad would be a good idea for people like that. Multiple murders should always have a sentencing and execution carried out swiftly by a squad of masked volunteers as to protect their identity. Cheap, easy and efficient!

Thing is, not all if any were Jewish. I don't remember how many were if any. They just happened to be at the wrong place at the wrong time. So he really didn't "accomplish" anything.

I hate to say it, but the death penalty is too good and too easy for this *sshole. I think very strict solitary confinement until death (no book, films, news, or ANYTHING) is a much more fitting punishment!

There are some deeply disturbed people out there. We can't catch them all before they act.

His insides rotted out by years of blind hatred.

Sounds like he was mentally ill. Swamp-legal question. This guy acted as his own attorney. Would the court have had to find him mentally competent to act as his own attorney if the prosecutors an/or judge thought he might be mentally ill?

They go through a whole litany of questions to determine opif they understand. However, you can be mentally ill but still competent.

Maybe he did this to be put to a quick painless death vs dying from some debilitating disease. If this is true, then he did accomplish something and also got his 15 minutes of fame at the same time.

He probably thought when he did the salute that the audience in the courtroom would jump to their feet and cheer.
It's amazing to me how some mentally ill people can be so out of touch with reality. The men who assassinated Garfield and Lincoln both thought they would be hailed as heroes by a grateful nation. The idiot who shot those people in the Charleston church thought he would encourage all the whites to rise up and launch a race war.
I guess that's one of the reasons we call them mentally ill - they don't live in reality, but in their own special place.

Given the way so many speak so critically of our current and previous President, I can understand why the guys who shot Garfield and Lincoln thought they would be heroes. So much vial hatred in so many public places. And the democrats were just as bad (if not worse) when Bush was in there. Disgusting.
