I do not see a thread started on today's news conference where he announced the PLEDGE of Allegiance to the Republican candidate that is nominated...... This was HUGE! All the cable networks carried it live. When he opened it up to questions from the news reporters, he took no prisoners. Jeb, Hillary, as Secretary of State, Kerry, big money donors, China, Japan Mexico, illegal aliens, you name it he talked about it. When someone asked a question that he considered unimportant, or in his words "Irrelevant", it was kind of refreshing in a way. He just said, irrelevant, or something to the affect," I am not going to talk about that". In other words, unlike other politicians, who get sidetracked with stupid answers to stupid questions, he will not get caught with "gotcha questions". He will let you try to get him with his "gotcha answers" to the questions he answers, but does not worry about the consequences of it. The reporters working the Trump Tower area was HUGE!!!!
We are witnessing a new reality television show, Trump! The Republican Presidential nominee! prime time show.

"IRRELEVANT" How much will it cost to educate all their children, give them WIC, EBT, Section 8, and the same to all the workers they displaced? How much does it cost to investigate and remediate SS records and whatnot when they steal identities to work? How many man hours of police work goes into that every year? How many man hours of government employees at the SS administration? Deportation is expensive but it's a one time cost. actually, we know those figures. they are well studied. so, here is my point. if i know how much they cost to live here, why can't Trump tell us how much they will cost to deport. if he is so good at hiring experts, why doesn't he FUCKING DO IT? edit: if it seems like i am nearing the end of my rope with that gas bag, i am.

I am extremely disappointed that he signed this Moronic Pledge to the GOP. My allegiance isn't to the GOP but to America. And, I feel a 3rd party candidate is better, that is who I am going to vote for. I find this all very childish and lame. If you can't run and win on your OWN merit against the Dems and/or a third party, you simply do not deserve to win. If the only way you can win is to get other people to promise not to run against you, that doesn't speak very highly of your candidacy. I think we can call this "affirmative action" for the GOP.

Trump during an interview yesterday on a conservative radio show: "Mr. Trump, a real estate developer and brand manager who has never worked in government, has relatively little experience dealing with foreign governments. But he has boasted of his global reach and international experience as a businessman. Mr. Hewitt said he was not interested in “gotcha” questions but wanted to be sure Mr. Trump had a baseline of knowledge about foreign leaders. “On the front of Islamist terrorism, I’m looking for the next commander in chief to know who Hassan Nasrallah is, and Zawahiri, and al-Julani, and al-Baghdadi. Do you know the players without a scorecard, yet, Donald Trump?” Mr. Hewitt asked. Mr. Trump’s answer was strikingly dismissive. “No, you know, I’ll tell you honestly, I think by the time we get to office, they’ll all be changed. They’ll be all gone.”" Donald Trump Stumbles and Bristles During Foreign Policy Interview Really, Donald? They will all be gone by the time you are sworn in as president so you don't need to know their names?

I saw parts of what must have been this speech yesterday. He made a long list of the things we are failing at, fail fail fail, then insisted everyone else was winning and we are losing, and we have to change that.
Not a single word on how he would fix any of the things he claims are broken, though.
In fact I haven't heard him outline any plan to improve any aspect of American life, except for this giant wall between us and Mexico that he claims he can force the Mexicans to build for us (although he doesn't explain how).
No substance under that hot air and bad hair.

I think Trump is refreshing...sure he is a blowhard, utterly full of himself and often monumentally unrealistic. That is part of the reason I like him.
Jeb, meh...just another politician who married a Mexican and he can speak Mexican(not Spanish...big difference)and is catering to that vote: at least those who are here legally.
The whole thing for me is like going to an amusement park. You can't take any of it very seriously, and you have some laughs along the way.
On a more serious note, I like that Trump is not a social conservative who wants to shove some Christian values down your throat and give you a road map on how to live.

Well DJ, Trump may be many things but a policy wonk is not one of them. He is a populist...throwing out some big ideas that resonate with many people. He doesn't want to be confused by details. He would make an atrocious President, but then Presidents have advisers who are more level headed.

I am not a fan of this two party system, they are essentially different sides of the same coin. A vibrant, robust third party is needed. Having said that, if Trump isn't the nominee and sulks and runs as an independent...then he is really showing his true colors.
You don't need to sign a pledge...if a man is good for it, a handshake is all that is needed...honorable men keep their word.

The Pledge was a smart move. Yesterday I attempted to find what he said concerning policy at the news conference and what I found was Pledge, Pledge, Pledge.
