For those old enough to remember the event. The busboy who cradled a dying RFK has finally stepped out of the pastIn June, Juan Romero did something he hadn't done in decades. He celebrated his birthday, going out to dinner with his family in San Jose. "I always dreaded when June was coming up," said Romero, 65, who has struggled for most of his adult life to let go of his crippling memory of an American tragedy. It happened just after midnight on June 5, 1968. Robert F. Kennedy had won the California presidential primary and made his victory speech at the Ambassador Hotel in Los Angeles, where Romero was a 17-year-old busboy. A Roosevelt High School student who had moved north from Mexico at the age of 10, Romero recalled the photos of President John F. Kennedy that hung alongside those of Pope John XXIII in the homes of Mexican families. He worked at the hotel after school and had delivered room service to Kennedy earlier in the week. He knew he'd never forget the way Kennedy treated him and the pride he felt, and now he wanted to congratulate him as the candidate made his way through a kitchen service area. Romero reached out, took Kennedy's hand, and watched him slump to the floor as gun blasts echoed. Link to full article: The busboy who cradled a dying RFK has finally stepped out of the past

Thanks for the post Tenn...suggest all who are interested to click on the link of the full article ..so interesting..also to read the comments..something like 96 of them and while I didn't read all of them..my surprise was the ones I read were surprising because it seems the kooks really come out in these comments..the ones I read were all, 100% so positive in so many ways...Sirhan was transferred to another prison in 2013..he gets a parole hearing by law every five years..bnext is 2016 I believe...I do so hope he never ever gets paroled ever...no matter how old or sick he may become....recent picture of him very healthy vigerouse looking...to healthy in my opinion...bread and water for a couple of meals a day might help that situation.. If he is ever Paroled he would end up in middle east and be feted as a good man, martyr....should never have that honor because his act was anything but that as far as deserving.. We'll never know if Bobby had gone on to get the nomination and then won what may have happened..definitely the Vietnam war would have been ended much earlier...possible some kind of decent refugee solution or at least better then we have now..Who knows..may have been a poor POTUS..but we never got the chance to find out what we would have gotten ...so let him , Sirhan, just age to the end...he deserves that. www.latimes.com/local/california/la-me-0830-lopez-romero-20150829-column.html
