Sounds like the same old song, just the latest verse.

Someone crack open a box of Animal Crackers for the man-child known as Kim Jong-un. The baby is getting cranky.

He starts acting up every year when S Korea, the US and other allies do military drills. This year he said he would 'respond with tremendous muscle.' Apparently this may be just a ploy to try to get noticed by the US. You know, kind of like a crying toddler who has a melt down over a popsicle. www.cnn.com/2015/08/15/world/north-korea-threats/

I am reminded of howls of protest over our lack of response we see on this board when the Russians do their military flight drills over international waters but on the edge of US air space.

I, also, remember this being a regular thing during joint exerises over many years. However, firing a missle into SK is a step beyond previous words & responses such as increase border troops & weapons.
I MUCH doubt this will have any impact on what SK actually does. What the next step for NK will be is anyone's guess since we have not had much experience with this nutso. could be nothing. Could be another N & S war which will embroil the US.

Seems after a few very long sessions..one was 33 hours...they came to a understanding..South no longer will broadcast on loudspeakers anti North what ever...and North semi offered regrets for the two Sout Korean solders hurt in land mine explosion..no admitting they , mines, were recently set on a patrol path by the North..but regrets anyway...
Neither side really wants a war...recent report ...South really doesn't want responsibility of the North with all their problems and while all experts from neutral and non involved countries feel South would prevail in any shooting war..the damage to both, even with the possible use of some of the Norths low yield atomics, would be hugh..Seoul, Souths capital almost right on the border and in rage of North artillery..half of South Koreas population live in this area...
North will probably get their undies all up tight again next year when USA and S Korea go on annual maneuvers again...
