Putting the plastic screen protectors on my tablet
20 minutes later I still have multiple bubbles.
Ok, so I've had the tablet and protectors for - oh - about 10 months. Time to get the silly thing on, right?
I suck.
Seriously peeps, help! I've tried the credit card or ruler trick (worked for my drawing tablet).
Is it me of did I just have bad luck with the type of screen protector I got?
(Writing this looking at a screen which appears to be covered in rain drops).

I suck at small tasks like that. It's worth paying Best Buy the money they charge to put it on right the first time.

Embrace the bubbles. They add charm and character to your soulless electronic device.

Take it off you tablet, and phone also. It alters the touch. And they don't really do anything.

I've now wasted another 20 minutes of my life gone (how much did they charge and were they able to do it while you waited?) If I remember correctly, it was about $15. That did not include the cost of the plastic protector. So if you have gone through several protectors already, then you probably have paid more in cost and definitely in frustration than it would have cost at Best Buy. After I purchased the tablet, I walked over to the Geek Squad area and they did it right there and then. If the Geek Squad screws up putting on the protector and they have to toss it, they try it with another protector at no cost to you for the second (or third or fourth, etc.). I just have no patience to do it myself for that type of thing.

Ok - PSA. There is something called the "Wet method" for putting on screen protectors. Make sure your screen is absolutely clean!!! Then spray some more window cleaner on a few more times - do not wipe off. NOW put your screen protector on. It will "float" a bit on the liquid making it easier to scrape the air bubbles out with a credit card and reposition it on the screen if needed. Have a rag handy to wipe excess liquid away as you scrape the credit card across the screen (kinda like putting on wallpaper) The liquid will eventually dry leaving a super tight seal. DH did this for me last night and it looks great (ok - one tiny little pin sized air pocket that you can't even see when the screen is on). Yea, I trashed the first protector. Good thing I had two more.

I was just going to say use the wet method.
I did this for my S6 edge. It looked so terrible when I was done that I almost ripped it off. But it said to let it dry, so I put my phone on charge and went to bed.
In the morning, it was gorgeous! No bubbles!

Pick up a small mallet. Enjoy a rousing game of "WHACK A mole" with those pesky bubbles

I've now wasted another 20 minutes of my life gone (how much did they charge and were they able to do it while you waited?) I bought my ipad from Best Buy and the screen protector also from there, so there was no charge. They were able to do it in 5 minutes, but I am happy to say that the girl messed one up and had to go get a second one. I would never buy a screen protector, but my DH has to have one on every device and to keep the peace, I get them installed wherever I buy them.
