www.chicagotribune.com/business/ct-kraft-heinz-layoffs-0812-biz-20150812-story.html
Kraft Heinz on Wednesday laid off 700 workers at Kraft's corporate headquarters in north suburban Northfield, part of a cost-cutting plan that will slash the combined company's head count in the U.S. and Canada by 2,500 jobs..
Employees affected by the cuts, which have been expected for months, will get "generous" severance benefits that last at least six months and outplacement ...
Layoff season begins. Memories.

Kraft is in the middle of a very weird period of change. It just changed ownership and it looks like it may change again in the VERY near future.
I live about 20 minutes from their current headquarters in Northfield. They sold off a HUGE property in Glenview a few years back; as did Avon across the street.
IF I remember correctly, I heard HQ is moving to downtown Chicago. They are going to LOVE (NOT) paying all the special taxes of city of Chicago businesses.

Yes headquarters is going to downtown Chicago and odds are they got a special deal on taxes to do the move. According to the article Kraft was bought out in 2013 and now this. Management needs to get with current food trends before more Americans are put out of work.
