Unless the business owners ick factor outweighs his wanting to be cool factor. Now what ? If he's willing to take the loss of sales. Maybe his standard includes more than your troublemaker standard. It's his $ loss after all. I wasn't meaning "not cool" in the "not hip", "not rad", "not awesome", et cetera manner... I was meaning it in the "it should be against the law" manner. People should be held accountable for misdeeds that THEY, personally, have done, only. Agreed, and if there is enough support for this type of law. I would have nothing against it.

Equality and fairness should be the default... regardless of the amount of "support" it has.

Agreed, but we live under the guidelines of our constitution. It requires a majority vote. That's what I meant by support.

Okay, here comes the nitpicker (sorry guys, it's the bean counter in me ) How would one, gun-shop-owning or not, define and then identify "Muslim"? Personally I think of Muslim as a follower of the Islamic tradition in a theological, religiously based sense. And that is no more visible from external physical criteria than my Christian following is. So is the entrepreneur in the story choosing his clientele based on a theological orientation he perceives from someone's skin color and/or attire? I personally would be seriously offended if someone denied or granted me service based on my skin tone (medium-1/2 Hispanic) and an assumed theological bent based on that skin tone or my dress. I am a Caucasian, female, senior, hetero person living in the Bible Belt and currently sort of following a Christian worship experience. All of which doesn't say diddly squat about me or my values. Just not a fan of labels and putting folks in little boxes based on those labels. That really hasn't served humankind too well in the past. Just sayin....

I thought it was a given that the vote was by whatever Congressional ruling body that applies, following Constitutional guidelines.
