Here we go again. Opinions will start coming down at 10.
Personally, I'm not expecting Obergefell or King to be decided today but I think that a ruling on Texas Dept. of Housing... is quite likely.
I also think that I will hate the opinion that emerges in Texas ... and will be in a vile mood for the rest of the term of the court.

What, can't stand to watch for yourself?
FWIW, I'll be quite shocked to get a SSM opinion this Thursday. It's a conference day too. That is, after opinions are delivered, the justices will have to work together. It will be difficult for them to do that if Scalia follows precedent. His dissents in prior LGBTQ cases have been lengthy and loud.
I'm expecting him to read his entire dissent from the bench. He did that when Lawrence came down and his dissent in Lawrence predicted the legalization of SSM.

Maybe he will limit his dissent to, "Told ya so, told ya so." Oh, how I wish he would! That would preserve his dignity and the dignity of the court. I've read the ugly, mean thing that is his Lawrence dissent. I still can't believe that Rhenquist and Thomas joined that. They had the option of dissenting separately. |

Way OT, but if you are ever in DC and want to "tour" the supreme count ask the guide while you are in line if the Justices will be sitting (is that the proper word?)
We had a guide tell us to come back the next day early and we would be able to see the judges handing down their decisions. It was an eye opener for me and even my then 13 yr old son was kind of impresed.
That's all - carry on with the serious stuff now.
