<subtitled "I hate group projects">
Right now, I have a rather large drawing that I have to do for my CAD class. There were 10 pieces to it, that need to be put together and we were put into groups and each person does a detailed drawing of each piece and submit it to the group file. I did 4, other 2 in my group did 3 (one of mine was very easy).
It is now after noon on Sunday afternoon and I have not received one member's pieces. Unfortunately, she drew the base piece that everything else is built upon, so I can't even get started. We've got concert tickets at 3 and plans afterwards. The whole project is due Tuesday, and I wanted to get the bulk of it done today.
That's not happening.

This is why I always hated group projects. Most of my colleagues were very conscientious and reliable, but there were a few people no one wanted to have on a team project because they were always late, and their contribution when it did finally arrive was often inadequate. It was maddening. Every team seemed to get at least one of those people.
I hope your classmates come through for you soon and relieve the stress you're experiencing.

Nearly 6 and still no files.
I do my best work early in the day and am reaching my useless period.
Hate this kind of stress.....

There's always one in a group project who screws it all up! Ugh.

Group projects are the devil. At least in the working world people are paid to be there and thus are (usually) more motivated to do things.

And.......the files STILL haven't shown up. I have unofficial class this morning to turn in a homework assignment. The person in the group is going to have to physically be there before 11 this morning to turn in the assignment too (it's on paper, not a digital file).
I've worked in a group with this girl before and she's never done this. However, she lives in the boonies (waaaay boonies) with sketchy internet service. I'm wondering if she couldn't upload the files as they are not small.

Good Luck Mich!! I never liked the group projects because there was always someone that didn't do their stuff & made the rest of the group scramble. I hope it all resolves itself.

I know she has the most of the drawings done. She was pretty much in the same place I was last Friday. She had most of the drawings done, needed to put finishing touches on them and needed to dimension them.
I had plans to go to Vancouver Friday night, so was out of bed bright and early Sat. am to do the couple hours of work I had left on them. I think I had my files submitted by 10 am Sat am. The other person emailed me the files, which is going to be a PITA. I need all the files in the same location so he'll have to move them over today. But I at least have his drawings and I could do it - but if I do this, the files will be attributed to me, when I didn't draw them.
Sigh.....and the person who drew the other 3 files named them in Spanish. I'm going to have to rename them to understand the parts.

So sorry you're going through this.
Group projects were the bane of my existence in undergrad and grad school. I must've been a magnet for the slackers.
Good luck!

Sigh....just got home from class. HW assignment that was due today turned in, but I STILL do not have the files that I need to start this assembly. Girl doing them went racing out after she turned in her homework assignment.
And to make matters even more fun, one of the group members cannot access the files that I submitted. I can access MY files (it's a group box where everyone in the group is supposed to put everything that's supposed to be put together). So I emailed him my files so he has them.
12:40.....is it too soon to start drinking?
