Typewritten. Single-spaced. Sound about right?

Lots of repetitive stuff -- the painter was a slob.
But lots of big stuff, too, such as missing light fixtures, the exterior still needing to be painted, radon system not operating, bathroom mirrors and towel bars to be rehung, etc.
What a PITA to pull it together, but I think I have everything listed.
The contractor has been good to us, and aside from the painter, we are pleased with the quality of the work and we didn't need to hover to get quality work.
It's one of those "so close you can taste it" kind of things. I just wanna go home now!!!!

Good for you for listing it all out, even the minor repetitive stuff. Best to take the time now to get it all down at once rather than stumbling across things later.

You're going to be working off the is document for a while. Better to get it all down and addressed because at some point the contractor is going to say "It's not on the list".

My first thought was 'wow, GRG has a LOT of people she's unhappy with right now...'

How did the contractor react? I would be upset at so many items still open, but hopefully they are fast things & you are in your home soon!

How did the contractor react? I would be upset at so many items still open, but hopefully they are fast things & you are in your home soon! We are all on the same page that this was an unusually tough job. We live in the Boston area: 112 inches of snow since February 1st made getting here difficult. Also, the Boston area is dealing with an absolute epidemic of ice dam damage. Any tradesperson worth their license is so freaking busy right now with all of the ice dam repair work, that there is no implication that the contractor dropped the ball -- there are only so many hours in the day for these guys to work. I have lived an honest-to-God clusterf*ck over the past 10 months. It's not my fault. It's not the contractor's fault. Sh*t just happens. Boy, does it ever.
