Ds and I both take long showers. We both feel the only reason to get out of the shower is because you ran out of hot water. DH talked about getting a tankless heater, and we quickly decided that would be a bad idea. The difference between DS and I is that I can take a short shower if I need to. He has never understood the concept (even when really young, let alone now in his teen years). If we need him to take a quick shower, we tell him to take a combat shower. If he goes more than a couple minutes- we turn the hot water off at the tank. If I could get one of these and a tankless heater- I would never get out.

If I don't have to shave I can take a 5 min. shower. I just really prefer not to.

I am probably going to test this out tomorrow. I'm sure I won't be 5 minutes. I didn't time myself but maybe it is about that after I'm undressed.
I leave Cardio tennis 15 minutes early. Walk to showers 2-3 minutes, get clothing articles out of locker, undress, shower, towel off, dress, out the door for a 1:15 p.m. meeting that has a 10 minute drive. Oh, I need to eat, too. Nuts and celery while driving.
I can shave seconds off by showering in the shower closest to the lockers and having the towels ready before hand. No hair washing. The fastest I can be done with hair washing/dry and a bit of chit chat in the locker room is 30 minutes.

I can get in & out in under 10 mins if I have to, including hair & shaving. I shocked BF one time when we were going on a date, but I was running late. Asked if he minded if I showered real quick, he said no problem & settled in to watch TV. Was out & ready to go before he was 5 minutes into his show.
Most showers are in the 15-20 minute range. I usually shower at night & sleep with wet hair. I throw it up in a bun so it doesn't get my back wet, having a wet shirt annoys me. Then it has some nice curls when I take it down in the morning.
I get me & my 3 kids up & out the door in 45 minutes on most mornings. Not sure if that is fast or not I do miss the days pre-kids, when I could roll out of bed & be out the door 5 minutes later.

I thought you were only counting the amount of time you actually spend under the spray.
If you're doing it at your public gym, you've also added in the amount of time (a couple of minutes that it takes to walk to your locker) - then walking to the showers, undressing, showering, drying, dressing again and chatting.
I thought you were asking how long do you spend IN the shower - not all the other crap that goes along with it.

It was "in" the shower. I was timing out all my shower time for tomorrow.

You spend 30 minutes under the shower spray?

You spend 30 minutes under the shower spray? ...must have one of those water massagers, aka "mother's little helpers".
