I KNOW!!! I've been yelling at the tv for the last 2 hours about it. And yes, I am well aware that won't make that shittin' snow not come but it makes me feel better. Guess I better go get the gas cards for my neighbors sooner rather than later so my driveway can be plowed/snow blown. Ugh. Guess the police better ramp up for the snow rage calls and the national Guard better not plan on going anywhere. They were actually up in Salem digging out schools today. Fun fun. F*in' snow. I think I need to buy more vodka.

GRG a/k/a goldenrulegirl, cael, Malarky: have any you been getting your mail at all with all this fabulous snow? I haven't gotten any since last Saturday. I could understand Monday due to the new 14 inches but Tuesday and Wednesday too? I WANT MY MAIL!!!! Well, they can keep the bills but I would really like my magazines and tax forms so I can get them done before Patriots Day.

We've gotten mail, but the actual days of the storms I think maybe we haven't. Our shovels are all broken... wonder if I can find a new one anywhere today? I'll hold off on that photo of me for scale with the mountains of snow around the house, until the weekend storm is over.

Ummm, that's on the south shore right? It might be, we're (supposedly) getting walloped all along the coast, again. South shore got it bad this week. Be careful!

yup, inland but south shore. ArchietheDragon - Saturday night is pretty much the height of the storm, you might want to reconsider those plans. I saw 2 weather models presented on the news this am. first one had 12-18" everywhere, and that all of MA would get nailed. the 2nd one had the jackpot area more north, so deminmaine would get nailed and the rest of us would be spared. sorry, dem....I'm hoping for that one! oh, and re: mail - I still have my PO Box out near my office, and the guy in my small branch said that the computer systems were down on Tuesday. that's probably got something to do with sorting of mail, maybe that's why y'all had some delivery issues? my branch was actually closed for services other than PO Box access on Tuesday.

Frozen on Ice? I don't think you'll need to head in to Boston to see that.... given how many events have been postponed the past couple weeks due to the snow (including the Beanpot - which went on as planned during the Blizzard of '78, mind you) the show might not go on as planned. just saying.... whatever you end up doing, be safe.

It's going to be so strange in July when you can drive out of a parking lot and actually have visibility, instead of looking into a 20ft mountain of snow as you try to turn.

I am so glad I do not live there any more. But I bet a few of you would hate the long, summer heat here like I do. I look forward to the fall.

My coworker was complaining this morning that NE stole our snow this year. She said she is jealous. I just shook my head.

Y'all wanna come and visit Florida...we are open for business. It will be a tad chilly here (20s in the upper half of the state and 30s in the lower half) but we don't need no stinkin' shovels. Seriously, I have threatened my fellow Floridians with a one-way trip to Boston if any more of them complain about being cold. I keep reminding them that the snow drifts there are up to God's eyeballs, and if they get any more snow, they will be buried until freaking August. You Sunshine Staters still want to complain about cold?

Someday I may even spend winters there......
Sweet! Let me know when you are in town next time. I live about 40 minutes north. Lunch is on me, you pick the place on Atlantic Avenue. I've been vetted by others on the board. I am not an ax murderer, though I admit to a dislike for golf.

Better to laugh than cry? I hope you guys get some relief soon! Oh yeah, all I can do is laugh at this point! I am bull at the prospect of my Sunday night orchestra canceling rehearsal for a second week in a row, since the concert is in a week. that would really suck. Otherwise my only plans for this weekend were homework and a lunch date Saturday, which should be fine.

Thy said on the news that Boston got 2 years worth of snow in 2 weeks, and 2 more storms on the way. If that isn't extreme weather, I don't know what is.

My kids are complaining about Florida being cold. I believe I am kind in not disinheriting them. And sending them to a really cold place - one way, via the cargo hold of an airliner - would teach them a lesson.

My brother is in FL. Just moved there a couple years ago. He is not complaining (that I know), but he has quit his non-stop bragging about the weather to his WI/MN relatives.

My neighbors snow blow and plow us out so that's no excuse. Guy next door also plows our end of the street a million times to keep it clear so I just don't get it. Guess it's time to call the post office. DH wonders if our regular guy is on vacation because the subs are usually idiots who don't know the difference between our street and the cross street at the other end. Dimwits.

I have a few words for what it is but I don't really want to be banned to I'll keep them to myself. Or just yell them at the TV. whenever the weather comes on. My MIL is smart. She's heading back to Florida tomorrow (Friday morning). One of DH's DB and SIL are driving her down in her car and then they'll fly back at the end of the week. Or so they think. We'll see what happens with snow then. At least SIL is on school vacation although I think they'll be going until the middle of July. Some of them are already planning to scrap April vacation and/or do Saturday classes. Kids are going to love that.
