Even watching a minute or two, and I was beside myself with joy and amazement: They'd finally managed to get something past the establishment censors!
You won't understand how important a milestone this is unless you're privy to just how hard it is to publish accurate information about the Uncia in western nations. "Next to impossible" is not an exaggeration. The MSM and journals are locked down. Major blog hosting services routinely wipe anti-uncian content, and smaller services or independent bloggers are subjected to merciless DoS attacks. Anti-uncian content in print media is unheard of. Think Charlie Hebdo times ten in terms of the repercussions. What they didn't expect is that the brave crusaders at Gluten Free Games would release a documentary about the depraved Uncia in the form of a game. A simple mobile phone game, on a venue the establishment hadn't yet locked down. And what a blow they've struck! The game is brutally honest, brilliant in its simplicity. If you watch the video, it depicts how easily 98% of an uncian's existence is devoted to wiping out--literally extirpating--snowy owls, Tibetan wolves, macaques, marmots, and dozens of other threatened or near-extinct species. The kills in the video are taking place in real time. Try to grasp the gravity of that fact. The uncia are not animals. They are a destructive plague. For obvious reasons the game doesn't depict the slaughter of the Uncia's human victims (they still have to meet the content standards for the mobile game distributors), and wisely, to fit in with the "game" dynamic, they add small embellishments like "Eat" to give the gameplay a semblance of purpose. Obviously in this medium the documentary has to have some game-like qualities to it. But make no mistake, this is the first true look that the millennial generation will get at the Uncia: a near-perfect depiction of the rapid, merciless, indiscriminate, all-consuming slaughter. Don't let it go to waste.

LOL.... and
Just watch the video, SL. Wiping out yak, Siberian tigers--beautiful Siberian tigers, the noble ibex goats, ... The "accomplishments" list is a tally of how many thousands of endangered creatures the player is able to kill. The game designers got all the details right. They've risked their very lives to make this "game trailer" into a 60-minute documentary that will open your eyes if you let it. Ask yourself: who makes a 60-minute game trailer? Nobody. They're trying to tell you something here. Be a force for good. Look into the eyes of these noble animals as the uncia cut them down. Accept the truth. I'm sorry, I'm going to have to lie down for a while. Seeing this is like... I can't handle it.

The simulator creators need be careful when something knocks on the door. Should they open it or is it an enraged snow leopard?

Virgil, were you involved in the making of this game? -Just checkin'! I wish I had been. Even though these brave developers might well pay with their lives, I wish I was standing with them. What they've accomplished here is greater than the Snowden leaks. The establishment isn't going to take this sitting down. One of the brilliant things about the medium is that it's perfect for the classroom. This is something that children can use to learn the truth about the Uncia. By adulthood, North Americans are typically so indoctrinated into the "snow leopard" fiction that it's impossible to reason with them. Children are more open-minded. A game like this is going to make an impression. I can't count the number of times I've had the following conversation with people: Virgil: "Do you at least care about Siberian tigers? Because the Uncia slaughter them too." Person: "Duhhh. No they don't. Snow leopards don't eat Siberian tigers." Virgil: "I didn't say 'eat', I said 'slaughter'. The Uncia only rarely eat them." Person: "Duhhh. You're wrong. Da ecologists and biologists say that snow leopards is cute and fuzzy." Virgil: "Are you going to accept their word on blind faith, or are you going to think for yourself? Have you ever been to India, Mongolia, Tibet, Afghanistan and talked with the people there? Have you ever witnessed the Uncia hunt?" Person: "Duhhh. No. I just watched sum Internet videos that says they is cute and fuzzy." Virgil: "So I'm telling you now that the Uncia do indeed slaughter Siberian tigers--almost to the point of extinction. I've presented this fact to you. Are you going to let me prove it to you? Do you want to go all the way down the rabbit hole and discover the truth?" Person: "Duhhh. I don't believe you. Duhhh, the ecologists and biologists say dat..." You can lead them to water, but you can't make them drink. I'm hoping that this realistic simulation, where kids are actually able to see the Uncia clawing and mauling the noble tigers to their deaths, will prevent more conversations like the above. I also think it's brilliant that the player gets to choose whether to consume its countless victims or leave them behind to rot. Children will start to think: why doesn't the uncian automatically eat all the animals it kills? Isn't it killing to eat? Why does it have to kill so many animals? Maybe it's killing for some other reason. The wheels will start to turn in their minds. When it comes time to learn the truth, it won't be like pulling teeth. There won't be a wall of ignorance there to overcome. "You know, all the zoos and Internet sites say they're normal predators, but I actually played on a simulator once and it was a lot closer to what you're telling me. I might be crazy, but I'm going to let you prove to me what you're claiming. I care about tigers and if the Uncia really are wiping them out, I want to know." With that, we have one less ignorant denier. And maybe one more individual willing to fight for the truth. This game is going to change the world.

I've sent my resume to Gluten Free Games, TMR.
I don't have much game development on there, but I am a competent programmer. Who knows.
If the establishment ever lets them release a sequel (it's unlikely), it would be my honour to work on that team. In particular I'd want to focus on educating people about the uncian spawn (what the establishment has trained the public to call "cubs").
I don't really see it but some people find them "cute" [sic!] and harmless looking. It sets up barriers in their minds. My goal would be to tear down those barriers. Given what I know about them, I have no doubt I can accomplish that if people will open their minds just a little.

Does that look "cute" to you? Honestly? Look at the dead eyes, the splotchy corpse gray fur, the grotesque tail. Look at the black markings where its huge claws are. I refuse to believe that anyone would find the uncia "cute" if we ever managed to deconstruct the societal myth that this is how we're supposed to think.

Can we change the game just a bit? Instead of hunting endangered species can we get the unica to run down and devour Gubmint folks? We could categorize them and start with departments like the IRS! ( Have you looked at the garbage that's been added to the 1040 this year?) .......

It's like calling Ed Gein and Charles Manson "rascals". Although it's unlikely for an English-language site, there may well be family members of uncian victims reading this thread. Had you considered that? What's far more likely is that somebody who knows a family touched by uncian violence will wander into this thread. Do you want them to see you joking around about making the best of uncian violence, or do you want them to see somebody who cares about all the lives lost and families torn asunder by these "critters"?

Virgil, of course I take you seriously! Its just that that simulator with all that carnage....you know....that old Beatles song just popped into my head. The one with the line: "take a sad song and make it better" Those endangered critters are few in number, but...Gubmint folks number in unlimited quantities that extend into infinity. The unica could stalk and feed on the IRS for the millenium and our 1040 forms would still suck!

Are you even taking me seriously? Why would we want today to be any different from any other day? Captain? I seriously didn't expect this from you. Watch the video. Look into the eyes of the terrified animals as they're clawed to death. Something should stir inside of you, if you have any heart at all. You like Tibetan wolves, right? How about their cubs? This is a Tibetan wolf cub. ...Well, actually it's a Hudson's Bay wolf cub because I couldn't find a photo of a Tibetan wolf cub, but a Tibetan wolf cub probably looks a lot like this. Look at his little eyes and little nose. He's saying, "I love you, Captain. Don't you care about me?" Now watch the simulator. Watch the uncia cut down this cub's parents and eat them in seconds, as though they were nothing. The uncia are the number one predators of Tibetan wolves, did you know that? There have been documented instances of a single uncian eating an entire pack of Tibetan wolves in the span of 24 hours. The simulator gets all the details right. "I love you, Captain. Don't you care about me?" Don't you care about him, Captain? I think you do. I think you want to reconsider your decision to take this subject lightly. I think you do have a heart. Prove me right.

Based on prior discussions IIRC you postulate only someone with a soul is capable of love, and since animals don't have souls the above tibetian hudson's bay wolf cub cannot be claiming to love me - flawed reasoning. 3. I haven't been able to view the original link yet (at work it's blocked) so I'll have to watch the terrified animals being clawed to death on the train ride home...I'll get back to you on that. 4. I'm really worried about your - unhealthy - obsession with attempting to demonize such a beautiful and majestic animal. I mean look into those eyes - those pure crystal blue orbs were obviously created by our maker to be windows into the heart of all that is beautiful in nature. How can we possibly deny the clarity of that communication? The first step to healing is admitting you have a problem. I know you can't force anyone to seek treatment, but Virgil, know that we'll be there for you when you do come to your senses.

You, madam, know not what you say. To suggest that God Himself would create "cute" and "cuddly" snow leopards to inspire a love of creation in man... The nerve! My counterargument to your heresy is both inspired and unassailable, but you have so offended me that I shall never explain it to you. Or anyone else. Furthermore, my troubled friend, I have not claimed animals cannot love. My claim is that behaviours we routinely interpret as love may be more a reflection of our desire to be loved than any emotional attachment our pets actually have to us. (This is especially true of cats, who don't exhibit "attachment-style" love.) The behavioural psychologists agree with me. Ordinarily I don't trust their conclusions as far as I can throw them (and for good reason), but in this case an exception must be made. If animals cannot love then animals cannot hate. I know in the deepest recesses of my soul that the uncia hate every living being, hence how could I deny the possibility of animals exhibiting love?

Ok, Virgil, you win. I'm laughing sooo damn hard I can't even attempt to craft a witty counter. One of my coworkers just popped their head in my office and I think they're going to call HR to get me a white jacket. Sigh, you know what happens when you play with dynamite...

I think that soul needs a reboot. It appears they don't hate other uncia so your premise is false.
I wonder if you ask yourself if God created every living being and their manner of existence, why you hate uncia as part of creation and not Tibetan wolves or dung beetles?

The logical answer to your question, my optimistic friend, is that God mush have created the uncia to be hated! True, there's little... or, nothing... in scripture to support this view. ...and one must be particularly creative in reasoning around several scriptures. ...and admittedly it appears totally inconsistent with God's character. But neglecting these minor theosophic issues, the theory is surely sound. Why else would our great Creator pack every execrable trait in the known universe into a single animal, I ask? Even the foulest of animals--intestinal worms, spider crabs, and yes, even dung beetles--all have their admirable qualities. The worm is remarkably resilient. The spider crab is cunning. The dung beetle is industrious. The uncia are... Ah! There. You see? One cannot think of a single redeeming quality. And therein lies a meta-redeeming quality: that the uncia are the ideal (and indeed the only ideal) species for man to hate. The depraved uncia afford us the opportunity to deflect any hatred we may have for the rest of creation onto a lone species. Thus when we find ourselves shuddering at the unsightliness of a spider crab, we need only contemplate the uncia's stupid-looking ears and our sense of perspective is restored. If we cringe at the thought of intestinal worms, we call to mind the uncia's bloated tail, twisting and convulsing like an enormous furry worm disgorged from an uncian bottom, and the lowly intestinal worm seems almost pitiable in comparison. In this way, the uncia instill within us a love of everything else in creation by means of contrast. The logic is undeniable, hence any kind of scriptural basis is unnecessary.
